Lovely place in the perfect location
We really enjoyed our Kinsale stay!! The apartment is clean, modern and comfortable for five adults. It’s walkable to anywhere in town and is a 30 minute drive from Cork, which was convenient to us. The apartment is energy efficient; the interior doors are thick and heavy (self closing; you need door stoppers), and the heating/hot water system are on demand. You have to remember to turn everything on and off as you go, including outlets. After about a day, we got into the rhythm of it. Gerardine was responsive and answered our silly questions quickly. Our only complaint was that we didn’t stay longer!

The perfect apartment with wonderful hosts
We travelled to Kinsale for the yearly Kinsale Shark Awards, on business. The apartment suited our needs perfectly, what with there being two bathrooms, and it being fully kitted out for an extended stay. We quickly fell into the pace of life in Kinsale. On top of the Gerardine was an amazing host. Fast to reply, and incredibly helpful with fantastic restaurant recommendations. We will be back, for sure!

Wonderful apartment in a wonderful place!
This property is clean, light and bright, with lovely decor and the comfiest sofas I've sat on! The kitchen has all equipment you might need and there's even basics in the cupboards like salt, teabags etc. Kinsale itself is just beautiful. It's like an artist's version of a little holiday village. There's an abundance of pubs and restaurants, quirky little gift shops, art galleries and more. Lovely walks and a clean sandy beach. We will certainly return to Kinsale and would rent the same apartment in a heartbeat!

Super location
I was was super clean and very accommodating for our Family. Location was perfect, walking distance to harbor and town. host was very quick to respond to our concerns.. beds were super comfortable and gathering area in living room was very nice. The only things we did not like was the host, had a washer and dryer in the unit but it took a very long to do a load. Getting up at night and doors were very loud so getting up throughout the night was interrupting others sleeping. The parking spaces were so small that there was no room on either side to open your doors once in your parking space. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and location

Great location, very comfortable.
Gerardine was a wonderful host! Very responsive to questions during the stay. The place was very clean and comfortable, and gave very helpful directions for turning things on/off. Only not great thing was the self-closing (slamming) doors. But def not a deal breaker! The washer dryer in the apt was great, as was the view and the beautiful windows. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. ❤️

Our group was 3 adult women, so one person had to sleep in a child's bunk bed. Since I had indicated 3 adults on the search criteria, we were disappointed in that. Also, that same room needs a blackout shade or curtain as a very bright light across the courtyard shines into the bedroom. We liked the location; we thought the apartment was well equipped -- we enjoyed the convenience of the washer/dryer, coffee pot and refrigerator. The two larger beds were both very comfortable.

This lovely, well kept home is adjacent to the harbour and within walking distance of all amenties. Shopping, restaurants and grocery stores all convenient. We enjoyed the Ghost walking tour, which was definitely a stand up comedy show while weaving in some great information and history of the local area. Would recommend to family and friends Heather

Very comfortable apartment for 4 adults. Prime location to everything in Kinsale and very close to the harbor. Having a parking spot is a great perk! Amazing restaurants so we didn’t cook! Hosts are very accommodating and communication was easy. A great stay!

Gerardine and Kevin are friendly and responsive. Their house is spacious and clean. The location is a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and pubs. Bonus- the property has it’s own covered parking spot. I have stayed here often and look forward to my next visit.

Perfect spot!
I stayed here with my husband, toddler, mother in law and father in law for four days. This was the perfect spot in Kinsale. After staying in a tiny hotel in busy Dublin, this apartment felt like heaven on earth. The pictures of this property don’t do it justice! It is clean, updated, nicely decorated, quiet and spacious. The location is perfect for looking out at the marina and walking to the shops and restaurants in town. It’s easy to get in and out of, and the parking spot was an added bonus! Communication with the host was easy and they are very accommodating. We would happily stay here again if we were to return to Kinsale.

The apartment was modern, spacious, quiet, as well as being in a great location in front of the Marina. Gerardine was helpful before our visit with recommendations and accomodating during our stay. Great place to stay.

Convenient luxury in Kinsale
Gerardine and Kevin’s Shearwater condo is clean and spacious. Featuring a great location, It is a very short walk to all that Kinsale has to offer. Onsite gated parking is also a plus. I have stayed there several times. I highly recommend this host and property.

Lovely flat. Overbearing management.
First the good things. Flat lovely. Great position. Spotless and well equipped . Management provided advice about restaurants , attractions etc. Kinsale is beautiful and overall we had a great time. We were taken aback by complicated long list of instructions, peppered by warnings of financial penalties if not obeyed. All delivered in somewhat overbearing tone, we thought. On balance most weren’t too arduous …. Included leaving curtains as we found them, washing and putting away dishes, putting out rubbish being careful to sort recycling, collecting towels etc. However the instruction to tick off each chore when done, photograph and send to landlady on pain of financial penalty if not obeyed seemed a bit over the top. This is an expensive rental not a hostel. Last straw was instruction to return key to landlady by registered mail at own expense….we rebelled at that stage. Hence the 3 stars. To summarise…..lovely flat and place. I think landlady may need to engage more local help.

Nice place and hosts, check-in needs to be improved
The location is great and there's lots of room. The hosts were great about warning us about a festival and recommended that we change our initial dates. We did that and they were very helpful in this process. They also made dinner reservations for us at Fishy Fishy. But the check-in process was difficult. We had to drive to a location out of the city center (about 20 minutes or so) to pick up the keys. The first receptionist that we talked to did not know anything about the keys. It added to the stress of the moment. There also wasn't any dish soap, and we were asked to go to the store and pick some up. Not something that we have normally have to do. Regardless, we had a very good time in Kinsale; it's a cute town on the coast.

Fabulous apartment in Kinsale
Firstly the apartment was absolutely spotless. We found it was very spacious for our family of 4 but could easily cater for 5-6. The location was perfect just opposite the marina and less then 5 min walk to centre of town. The parking space is a major plus also in Kinsale. The owners were also very helpful and easy to deal with although we had little need as the process was very smooth. Wonderful town and apartment.

From our initial correspondence with Kevin and Geraldine until our visit was over, it was wonderful communication. The attention to detail in the apartment was truly great. everything that you could want, bright clean comfortable. Everything ran very smoothly and so near the town. Great family vacation in Kinsale
This property was perfect for grandparents and family to share a "only once in Ireland" holiday. Lots to do: walks to Ft Charles, Ghost Tour, and family friendly pubs with music. A great place to relax after a day trip to nearby Blarney Castle, and have a home-cooked meal. The complex is well located, and met all our expectation. Fabulous apartment in Kinsale
What a fabulous find this property was. We stayed here for a week for the Kinsale Sovereign Cup. The booking process was easy and communication with Geraldine was great answering all our questions prior to booking and giving us plenty of information about the area and places to eat and drink. The apartment couldn’t have been better and was directly opposite the Marina which was ideal for our stay. Kinsale was full of lovely places to eat and drink our favourite being the Bulman pub which was a beautiful spot to sit outside of looking Kinsale whilst having a drink. We would Love to return here and would definitely book the same apartment.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location
The property is perfect for a family, we have 2 boys plus an Auntie stayed over the Christmas period without the feeling of being over crowded. Everything about this apartment is so pleasing from the extremely comfortable beds and linen to the tables, sofas, lots of crockery with washing machine and dishwasher. Plenty of space for Lego building on rainy days! We spent many years walking the head of Kinsale so it was with delight to know that we were only 15 minutes walk from the old fort and the small beach that we love so dearly. We made use of the pool in Actons hotel plus there is a playground next door, perfect for young boys! Gerardine is clearly attentive to the needs of those renting her property always replying to messages swiftly. We loved this property and will likely wish to stay again in the future.

Terrific apartment in a great resort village
This apartment at Shearwater Kinsale is really comfortable and really well organised.The village and surrounding area has lots to see. (2 historic forts,museum,beaches and walks) and great shopping and dining facilities are minutes away. Gerardine is a fine host with lots of tips and keen to help.It's great to rent such a cared for holiday home.

Apartment was perfectly stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable vacation in Kinsale! The location couldn't be more perfect to enjoy all the beauty and attractions Kinsale has to offer. The apartment itself was comfortable (beds were excellent), quiet, clean, spacious and it exceeded all of our expectations. We had a wonderful time with our family visiting our relatives in Kinsale. Marina Views and Cozy cottage
We stayed at this lovely cottage style beach apartment in Kinsale over Easter and it was great. We had small children and an elderly aunt with us, and the place was great for all of us. Fully equipped, perfectly situated with a view of the boats form the living room, and warm and quaint, it could not have been better. Fantastic, very communicative owner as well. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to Kinsale. Highly recommended and the best apartment we have stayed at in Kinsale, where we visit every year.

Lovely apartment in the centre of Kinsale. Secure underground parking. Lovely town.
The apartment is comfortable and well furnished, the kitchen equipped to a good standard, and the secure underground parking invaluable in a town where parking is at a premium. Kinsale is a busy, attractive old fishing and sailing town. Singing pubs and good eating places abound, good walks, and many places to visit. We used the Park and Drive facility to visit Cork city. The owner was very helpful. Highly recommended.
