Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. "Our stay at SOYO-NE Kyoto Sanjo was just amazing! The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to everything, which made exploring Kyoto super easy. The design of the hotel is stunning. It perfectly combines the feeling of a traditional Japanese stay with a modern, stylish atmosphere, almost like being in a James Bond movie! Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We truly enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again on our next visit to Kyoto."

""A"... perhaps "the" classic ryokan. Relaxed (genuine) gracefullness that is not commercial or something you can teach. It is not a material luxury experience (there are many others who fit this expectation), so much as an unintentional unmannicured view into the past of old Kyoto. Very dreamy for me at least!. It felt like returning to my granny's house in post war Setayaga. Special. There are exceptional people among the staff whose heart beats echo mine and that era."

"This property was is such a good location. Right across from the river. There is a beautiful walking path along the river that you can take to get to any of the main streets of Kyoto. The hotel staff was so friendly & accommodating. I appreciated that this was a quieter part of Kyoto but, walking distance to any popular destination & amazing food spots! Would definitely recommend! "This little hotel was a wonderful choice. The room was adequately sized and contained everything we needed, including a washing machine in the room. The location was excellent and was within walking distance to Gion, the market, major shopping and restaurants of all sizes. Catching taxis, trains, subway and buses was again so easy. The staff was amazingly helpful. We had left an item on a train, and they helped us surrmount the language barrier and get our item returned. I would higly...

"We had a wonderful stay, so much so we cancelled our last night in Tokyo to stay in Kyoto an extra day. Perfect Japanese style with a modern twist. The location is impeccable and the staff are so lovely. My daughter got sick from some food at Disney Sea days prior and they were so nice when she “got sick” in the front entrance. The bed was so nice it was like sleeping at home …And the bathroom I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS. Cannot wait to return sans sick kids 😂. Thanks so much!"

"Fantastic place to stay in Tokyo... especially with a family. Very clean. Nice view! Great kitchen, TVs, sitting area, washer / dryer. The only challenge was checking in at a separate location however that was a small price to pay for such a great overall experience! "
