"Clean,comfortable room with exceptional service. Enjoyed the free shuttle service offered to Universal Studios. Metro to downtown and grocery store to stock up fridge are a short (15-20 min) walk away. Microwave is available on request for small fee. "We had an extended stay at Palihouse, we enjoyed the hotel and staff. The bar and restaurant were great, as is the location. We loved the design and space of the hotel. Room was clean and comfy. "Enjoyed our experience but not too keen on the curtain gate for our cars and seeing that there’s a lot of run down RVs in surrounding area , left us feeling a little weary w our car and coming in late. I did not especially like guests and workers leaving out the exit to the street right by our hotel door. It just allows someone to enter easily. Thankfully they do have cameras and security so that eased our mind a little. But overall it was great 6 day experience. "

"If you are looking for something upscale-move on. But this is one great little hotel 2 blocks from one of the best beaches in the country- Santa Monica! Nothing fancy, just a comfortable place to sleep with a patio outside your door overlooking the pacific-DIVE IN. "The hotel was in the process of finishing up the remodeling of the rooms on the first floor. One elevator was not working for the first day and the working elevator was very slow. The hotel was in the process of changing the floor levels. Floor 1 was changed to floor 2, floor 2 to floor 3 etc. They posted some signs, but it was still very confusing and at one point our room key did not work.
