"We had a really great stay at The Coppa. The hotel is dog-friendly, and the food was fantastic — we enjoyed lunch, breakfast, and dinner there during our stay. Our room didn't have air conditioning, and we arrived during particularly hot weather. Being on the ground floor, we didn’t feel entirely comfortable leaving the windows open overnight, as our room overlooked the entrance and carpark, and there’s no gate or barrier and it felt a bit exposed. That being said, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and I would definitely stay again. A great spot for a weekend away, especially if you’re bringing your dog along! "

"Lovely quiet location. Pretty cottage. On one side you look out across trees and farm fields, the other backs onto the owners spacious garden.There is a small semi private patio/grassed area to the front of the cottage. Welcoming, clean, light, and comfy accommodation.Short walk to a very nice pub.Georgie popped over to welcome us which was lovely to say hello.Easy to unwind in such surroundings. We enjoyed our relaxing stay very much. Thank you."

The Red Lion was simply magnificent, the welcome super, pub ambiance super friendly all in all we will be attending and revisiting again The Red Lion is tucked away, just follow the sign as the place does ooz quality, has its own history which is fascinating its just great. "The host never responded to any text or chat messages from us once we were given his contact details three days prior to the booking. There was no email address only a mobile phone with no voice mail available to leave a message. Neither did he respond to any emails sent by Vrbo support. Vrbo did not have any additional information about the property apart from that on the website and did not allow the booking to be cancelled until we actually arrived at the property despite the complete lack of communication from the host. We arrived at the property and were unable to gain access.The neighbours had never heard of the host, his name was unknown to them as an owner of the property. It has not been available to rent for some time. It is advertised as a house but it is a downstairs apartment/flat. Added to which it was surrounded by scaffolding. We immediately rang Vrbo support who cancelled the booking and arranged an immediate refund of our money. We then had to find, at very short notice, alternative local accommodation as we needed to be in the immediate area that night to be near a relative. The whole experience was stressful since we were away from home prior to the start of the booking and were travelling a considerable distance with no information or assurance about the property and its access, since there was no communication from the host and Vrbo were unable to do anything about this. "The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure that the gluten free member of our group was catered for at breakfast. The room was clean, and the beds comfy afrer walking the Thames path. I wiuld stay here again in a heartbeat and am thinking of retyrning with my family due to the location and price. "
