"The host never responded to any text or chat messages from us once we were given his contact details three days prior to the booking. There was no email address only a mobile phone with no voice mail available to leave a message. Neither did he respond to any emails sent by Vrbo support. Vrbo did not have any additional information about the property apart from that on the website and did not allow the booking to be cancelled until we actually arrived at the property despite the complete lack of communication from the host. We arrived at the property and were unable to gain access. The neighbours had never heard of the host, his name was unknown to them as an owner of the property. It has not been available to rent for some time. It is advertised as a house but it is a downstairs apartment/flat. Added to which it was surrounded by scaffolding. We immediately rang Vrbo support who cancelled the booking and arranged an immediate refund of our money. We then had to find, at very short notice, alternative local accommodation as we needed to be in the immediate area that night to be near a relative. The whole experience was stressful since we were away from home prior to the start of the booking and were travelling a considerable distance with no information or assurance about the property and its access, since there was no communication from the host and Vrbo were unable to do anything about this. "A beautiful house, conveniently located for Henley and Redditch. Clean, well equipped with lots of original features and great space for socialising. We were a group of family & freinds with two young children, celebrating a birthday for the weeeknd and suited us perfectly! Thanks Rob for a great stay and for the welcome treats! "
"The house is very nice and clean, big garden for children play. The house is more bigger than the pictures we saw on website. We had very enjoyed and happy weekend. "
"I’ll start by saying the location is adorable! The little town is a perfect little British village and has all the local amenities you would need including 2 shops, a couple of restaurants, and a pub. The area is also very walkable if you fancy a hike along the footpaths.
The accommodation was exactly as described. Very well designed and cozy. The ceilings are a bit low towards the outer walls given the space is the second floor of a garage but not anything to grumble about. The most noatable challenge with the ceiling is the shower especially if you are over 6 feet tall.
The decoration was very tasteful and welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped with every pot, pan, utensil, and appliance most people would need. It was a bit warm when we arrived but unlike many other places we stayed in the UK, this had air conditioning which was perfect.
There is one large bed which is perfect for a couple. The couch folds to a second bed which was great for a kid or a single adult. The linens are clean and warm.
All in all this is a fantastic place and I highly recommend it for anyone under 6 feet tall or those adventurous taller ones! "
