"This is the third time my partner and I have chosen to stay at the Market House. We like its convenient, central location, and clean, spacious, well-appointed rooms. Staff are always friendly and efficient, our check-in and check-out experiences have been seamless each time. The only disadvantage at the moment is the fact that the lift is under repair, which did not particularly inconvenience us, but could pose an issue for guests with mobility issues. "We were given a disability room off the car park so not in the main building. So no view of anything except a fence 18” from our window. Not sure why hotels think people with disabilities don’t need a surface to put their toiletries on in the bathroom. I find this in every room of this category we’ve stayed in. "

"Perfect for my visit to Reading. Five minutes walks form the station and close to shops and local sites. Delightful friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Clean. comfortable spacious room and pleasant lounge area. Very good breakfast in bright, pleasant dinging room. The bedroom area was quiet and peaceful and I felt safe and secure in the hotel. "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the Mansion House which had a lovely rustic feel but was also very clean and modern. The whole site had a lovely feel and the other building with the pool etc looked very modern and also had some nice cosy seating areas. We didn't use any facilities but had a look around and everything looked brand new! Would love to stay here again. "

"The staff in particular were great. Welcoming, courteous, friendly but professional, caring and thoughtful. My room was pretty good but I guess a little tired. There was no noise from the pub or other areas around. I slept well."

"This was a great find for us, the place on the whole was quiet and picturesque. Staff and service was excellent and we would overall stay again if we were in the area. The breakfast had all components that you could want/need from continental to a cooked breakfast. Hot drinks machine throughout the day included in your stay as well as a gym, huge free car park and free WiFi.
