Emplacement idéal pour visiter les sites touristiques dans les vieux quartiers de Lisbonne. Notre chambre était située côté cour et très tranquille pour se remettre du décalage horaire. La douche a ete très très appréciée ie grandeur , jet et débit d'eau surtout après une chaude journée de marche dans les rues pentues de Lisbonne ! Obrigada

The room was spacious and comfortable but there was a lack of communication and luckily there was someone there to get in. A code is required to get into the building and it was never sent.

We were fresh off our redeye from the U.S. and looking forward to our week in Southern Portugal and Spain when we knocked on the locked glass door at Lisbon 5 Hotel, behind which we observed a woman at a desk. After a minute or so, she rose and opened the door for us, and I (a Spanish learner eager to demonstrate skills as well as sensitivity of being in a different country) responded, “Gracias,” echoed by my wife. That effort touched off a shocking, scorched-earth condemnation of our sentiments by this woman, who lectured us that in Portugal, the correct phrase is “obregado.” This wasn’t a friendly tip from our hostess; it was a hostile dressing-down in the tone of a schoolmarm. I drew a deep breath, apologized, and hoped that was the end of it. It wasn’t. She then demanded to know why I hadn’t read the check-in instructions she said were sent to me, which caused me to scratch my head in exhausted bewilderment and reach for my phone to check my Expedia app. (I later discovered she had sent them to my seldom-used Whatsapp account without notifying me of that fact on Expedia.) “Never mind,” she snapped, and brusquely ordered us to produce our passports with the tone of a hostile customs inspector. I began to giggle nervously. She then asked for my email address, and I complied by reciting it. “WAIT!” she ordered. The giggling increased. This was – by a country mile – the most hostile reception we have ever endured, more akin to a prison reception than that of a hotel.
