"Lovely compact but functional single room with great view of the harbour (Mountain Lass). Complimentary homemade biscuits, fresh milk in a little bottle and Molton Brown hand wash. Parking was a bonus. Breakfast was really good and was made to order (not a buffet). I had plain yoghurt with berry compote and granola to start and that was lovely, followed by a full English breakfast which had good quality ingredients. The receptionist, waitress and barman were all really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area."

"There was limited evening meal choice when we stayed but it was still delicious, as was breakfast. The bedroom was a little too warm for our liking so we kept the window open, (frames need the mould removing though). All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Stairs to bedrooms/dining room/bar are a little steep so may not suit those with mobility issues. "

"Beautiful location and fabulous rooms, suites with sea views. Book the suite as includes parking as car park up road is £15 24hrs. I would recommend upper suite as was awake at 6:30 with upstairs banging about. Staff lovely, good choice of drinks & food. Scenic walks and the beach is gorgeous. Be careful if you buy an icecream as the seagulls will take it out of your hand! We had a lovely chilled break. Highly recommend. "

"The inn is lovely, perfect location, great staff, good food, free parking on the road, wonderfully comfy bed and great bathroom… but beware of room 7 with a sea view.. on the second floor up steep steps but the reason for the 3 star rating is that you will constantly hear the water pump every time anyone in the hotel uses a drop of water. ALL NIGHT LONG! Very hard to sleep or stay asleep when is constantly starting up close by the bed. Were exhausted the next day, so glad we only stayed one night. The water pressure on the second floor is fab…but the noise from the pump really is annoying. The hotel only has an emergency contact number and no overnight staff so by 11pm when you realise that the pump is going to be jolting you awake regularly there is no one that can help."
