Los Angeles is home to some of America’s most beautiful and prestigious cities, perhaps none more so than Malibu. Twenty-one miles of dynamic coast make up the width of the city limits, most of which is viewable from the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. Built on the sand, right over top of Malibu’s Carbon Beach, this beach-house is the epitome of the Malibu lifestyle.

Nicknamed “Billionaire’s Beach”, this stretch of coast is home to some of the most amazing architectural achievements in the country, and this private beach home is no exception. The living spaces are open concept, flowing freely into each other from the balcony and in. In fact, the length of the living room offers both windows and access to the deck and into the sand, allowing you to see and enjoy the home from nearly all corners of the home.

With accommodations for eight, Carbon Beach is equipped for any occasion. Guests will be entertained by Smart Tvs with YouTube TV and Netflix through Wi-Fi. Outside on the balcony, relax in sun loungers while you enjoy your panoramic ocean view. Or, take a walk just beyond the deck and see what the water is like with your beachfront access. Later, when the sun has set, Carbons’ master bedroom has a king sized bed, ensuite, waiting for you.

If you’d like to get out and enjoy more of Los Angeles County’s beautiful natural features, start with Topanga State Park, located in the mountains of Santa Monica. If you’ve got a golf enthusiast in the group, West Lake and Sherwood Golf Courses are a short drive from Carbon Beach, both are amazingly scenic courses. And of course, nearby cities Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and downtown Los Angeles are all packed with tourist attractions.

Please note this is a beach house that's been lived in by the family, it is literally situated on the sand — you should note that as such the home does show wear from the saturation of salt water and corrosion. Any reservations made affected by such issues are disclaimed and are not eligible for refunds or credits. Such examples may include but are not limited to doors that require more effort to open, windows that have a layer of salt film, and generally rusted metal throughout. Wear and tear and unexpected maintenance is unavoidable and should be expected when renting a house on the beach.

Please note this home is located on the sand / at the beach and by renting you agree that any issues due to the home's proximity to the sand/saltwater including but not limited to windows with a film layer, doors harder to open, metal that is corroded or rusted eg, is not eligible for a refund, credit, or cancellation without penalty.

- Primary renter must be over the age of 30.
- Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
- This is a private property and the host reserves right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
-Maintenance schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. We also request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay. Such instances can result in a $100 penalty as we will still incur a 'show up' charge, even if no work is performed.

This is a pet-friendly spot. If you are allergic or don't like pets, this might not be a good fit!

Pet Policy:
-One adult dog up to 50lbs allowed. Cats are not allowed anytime.
-Dog must be house and potty trained and cannot be left alone or on furniture.
-Pet fee is required and non refundable: $500
-Guest assumes full responsibility for all and any damage caused by the pet during the stay. Pet fee is not meant to cover accidents to carpets and/or furniture, nor picking up after your dog or excessive fur cleaning; pet owner will be held responsible for all and any damages.
-Please do not let your dog go in the pool or spa, when available, to avoid additional charges.

If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have to pay twice the pet fee or will have their reservation cancelled immediately.

PET ETIQUETTE:
- Control their barking - if you have a loud dog, please never leave it in the home alone.
- Don’t let them treat everything like a fire hydrant (inside and outside the home).
- Play is fun, but silence is golden - be respectful of the neighbors.
- Keep them on leash while outside the home.
- Always pick up after your dog.
- Wash those paws and minimize bringing messes inside the home.

-Security camera/recording device — Our property has outdoor security cameras aimed on the exterior of the home and doorbell camera for the safety of the house and its occupants. Non-recording noise monitoring devices (NoiseAware) might be installed onsite to warn us of excessive noise and avoid complaints.

The house was amazing. The location was amazing. It is central to all things important in Malibu. The beachfront-ness was incredible. The service from the team was incredible. Living that Malibu beach lifestyle
We had an amazing stay in July 2023. The location is unrivaled. The entry patio has all this beautiful vegetation and a hot tub. That combined with the direct access to the beach felt like we had two different vacations in one. The house has a little bit of a funky layout and it is showing its age a little. But, it is an amazing house on an amazing beach, so I feel like you can’t be too nitpicky. Parking is easy and we were able to walk to a couple of great restaurants. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous week in Malibu! The location of the property was perfect with dry sand beach at all times! Recommend water shoes for the kids as there are small rocks in the water. The patio is perfect for watching kids play. Kids got surf lessons from Malibu Surf Coach(highly recommend). This property is comfortable and perfect for families!! We hope to be back soon!!!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this beach house getaway. Great location. Parking is a little tricky on the street (to be expected) and we wished it had a BBQ to enjoy out back, but we would happily return. The host was very kind and easy to work with as well. Very enjoyable vacation!

Looks Can Be Deceiving
Nice beachfront location, but we arrived to a complete mess. Dirty linens stuffed in the utility closet, the master bath looked like it hadn't been wiped down in a month. Cobwebs on the walls, etc. The front patio was flooded and covered with leaves. Just an awful way to arrive. The problems continued from there -- the AC didn't work -- the management insisted that it did, but wouldn't take the time to walk us through how anything worked. The hot tub wouldn't turn on. In short, it was not the level of attention or care that you would expect for a property that billed itself as “premium.” I would advise anyone against renting this place.
