"This property is not a hotel. It is a pub with rooms to let. It is misleading to think of this as a hotel. The beds were comfy and clean. The room itself was old fashioned and shabby with ripped carpets. The bathroom was appalling. No blind on the window which faced the village and had the toilet right next to it. "The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful"

Coastguard Lookout by Bloom Stays, Dungeness - one of a kind!

"A fabulous place to stay with unrivaled views over Dungeness but needing a bit of TLC now. It's an imposing-looking piece of architecture with the 4th best viewpoint of the sea, the beach and the land - only the two lighthouses and the power station are taller and none of them offer accommodation. In the Coastguard Lookout the view from the lounge and the balcony outside the upper bedroom are fabulous, day or night, when massive ships lit up in the dark pass along the English Channel. Some of the fixtures and fittings are getting very worn now - the curtain that sections off the toilet was broken at one end and hanging down, many of the windows are either sealed shut or the handles unworkable and we couldn't find a bottle opener or a can opener anywhere in the kitchen. The iMac is no substitute for a television - it's on a low shelf and there is no remote control and the email we received from Bloom gave the wrong password. There is one very nice, comfy chair in the lounge but the bench with cushions is less than ideal. So, it's now time for the owner to get in and have some maintenance done, but despite that, we really enjoyed our time at the Coastguard Lookout and I would certainly recommend it to anyone seeking a fabulous, unique place to stay at Dungeness."

"Overall we had a great stay at the Ship Inn . Staff were lovely especially the male member of staff who served us in the restaurant with drinks and food . He went over and above to please had a wonderful friendly personality . A great asset to the team . Sorry we didn’t get your name . The down sides were the mattress in the Royal room needs replacing and we were kept awake until 1am by either an argument going on or very loud animated talking ! The absolute positive of our visit was the food . Excellent both evening and breakfast . 5 star . Fresh produce and well prepared . Thank you chef 👌. I would recommend a visit to the Ship Inn ."

"Lovely house, had everything we needed, lots of room & big sofa so we could all sit together. Beach, pub & shops all within walking distance. The camber castle staff were lovely so if you’re visiting definitely show them some love.Communication with the hosts was super easy, very quick responses & they answered all questions clearly. Highly recommended. We all wanted to stay longer !"

"A lovely holiday home, equipped with just about everything you may need, particularly in the kitchen. Very clean and tidy on arrival. The area is very peaceful with lots to do within a short drive. The ice cream outlet just outside the back gate was amazing, though the service was a bit slow, it was worth the wait! The beach area itself was very clean and tidy. Very informative host. I don’t usually go somewhere twice, as the world is a big place, but I might make an exception here. Would highly recommended!"
