"A quirky but delightful inn, fully justifying the excellent reviews. Charming and welcoming staff, good food, and a generally warm atmosphere. We had one of the rooms, Honeychild, on the first floor - unique certainly but access up the staircase challenging for anyone with limited mobility or with bulky luggage. Highly recommended."

"Travelled as a group of 14 for a 60th Birthday celebration, 4 kids and 10 adults. The property was brilliant in every aspect for what we wanted and I would say that the photographs don't do it justice in terms of it's size and quality."

"Well worth getting back to nature. A pleasant view as well. More home comforts than a shepherd would have had - certainly nice and cosy. The stove really puts out some heat. Give it a go, it’s a different accomodation!"

"Beautiful, clean home with excellent modern conveniences and almost everything we could possibly need! Upstairs bed was more comfortable than downstairs one. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Could have done with some washcloths, Kleenex, and maybe some laundry detergent but we managed to get those items in Tenterden so not a big deal. Loved being able to walk into town for breakfasts at The Old Post Office, as well as basic grocery supplies from the small shop and butcher. Pubs in village were OK but kitchens were closed so not a lot of immediate dining options. That said, Ashford, Tenterden and surrounding areas were easily accessible by car with great shops and restaurants and we were even able to get delivery from UberEats when we didn’t want to drive anywhere.Overall a fantastic stay in nearly every way."
