"Started off under par but we complained about our room that overlooked the car park and had a noisy family next door we was immediately upgraded to a suite facing the golf course with a patio which we enjoyed coffee in morning and free drinks in the mini bar! Great breakfast in the morning, lovely swim and jacuzzi and as it is as my partners birthday we thank Belton Woods staff for making it special!"

"I stay here regularly on work trips to Nottingham, with fast and frequent bus and train routes into the city centre. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended and great value for money. "

"Bed was soft and mattress tilting me floorward. Shower tray was blocked, cutting short my shower. The bathroom sink was the size of a dentist's spit basin making it impossible to shave. Lights in the communal corridor didn't switch on with any of the switches so be sure to have a torch with you to safely stay this hotel. No bedside table or power socket anywhere near the bedside. I wouldn't stay here again."

"Parking was fine as the car park was almost empty, restaurant was closed and not likely to open any time soon. Bar was open but it only served bottled beer and it was £5 a bottle. Room and en suite was ok but a bit unloved. I had to go out to eat which was a pain as I really didn’t know the area and I definitely wouldn’t go back. "

"Really poor quality hotel. Dirty room, worn-out old mattress, and just a tired, drab hotel both inside and out. We booked for two nights but stayed only the first night as we couldn't face another night of poor sleep in a dirty room"

"We had a king sized room on the second floor. Comfortable bed. Amazing views of the lake plus it was lovely to have a balcony with outside seating. It was easy to control the heating. Good self service breakfast."

"Great three night stay. Was obviously a former Travelodge, so spacious rooms and good facilities. Would have liked a power socket nearer the bed for recharging iPad, phone etc. so they could be used as clocks. Great way of providing breakfast - help-yourself cereal/milk/fruit juice/bread to toast/butter/marmalade etc. Good parking, and quiet surroundings. Convenient for Rutland Water and Oakham."
