We arrived at some random bus stop in the bottom of town because their main station is closed for remodeling, so I didn't really know where we were when I called the shuttle. "Unique stay in the Sassi (old town) of Matera. The accommodation is in a cave type room (no windows), it can also be quite damp. The location is fantastic and very easy to find with the hosts instruction. There is no laundry at this location, all though it was advertised. "

"The staff was wonderful help us arrange a taxi to and from the bus station. Michele was the sweetest and made a wonderful breakfast each morning. The hotel is in a great part of town and close to many cafes and restaurants. Only wish the suite offered a shower and the ac was a little better but we really enjoyed our stay."
