"I will start by saying people were friendly and hospitable. The food was tasty, however limited to turkish cuisine only. This was not the place for foreign tourists. Nobody spoke english. Internet was spotty, TV didn't work during the whole week we stayed. Beach area was not cleaned. However, the location was excellent, and so was the sea water. "We had a very lovely stay the Turkish bath and spa was very nice great area by the water to sun bath clean rooms. The bedding could have been better. There was just a single waffle weave blanket for the cover. No top sheet or comforter. Great breakfast "
"As usual, we received a very warm welcome when we arrived by ALL the staff we encountered.
As we arrived early, we were very happy to relax and have a coffee in the lobby bar.
Arrangements were made to have our room made up before the official checking in time.
The delightful gentleman on reception organised a table for us in the restaurant for that evening and also organised to collect our car-keys when our car was returned to the hotel later that day. Kindness at it's best.
As usual, our room was very well appointed with wonderful views across the Bay of Izmir. Nothing had been missed and we were very impressed by the basket of fresh fruit delivered to our room.
We spent the rest of the day by the pool relaxing in the sunshine and had a lovely lunch. There are always birds in the area due to close proximity to the sea. However, the seagulls this time were a nuisance begging for and getting tit-bits and defacating into the water and around the pool. We feel that this was NOT hygenic and the staff could have done more to deter the birds.
In the evening we had a nice table in the restaurant near the piano and with a lovely view. However, we found the menu very lacking in vegetarian options offering only salad or spaghetti, not very exciting for a celebration meal. There were lots of lovely vegetable dishes on offer alongside the meat options.
Breakfast, as always, was sumptuous and made our anniversary stay complete.
