"No-frills hotel. There is always staff onsite willing to help no matter the time. The lobby is always kept clean and organized. Housekeeping is very respectful and will tidy up your room on the daily unless you specify otherwise. Some of the light fixtures in our room did not work but we didn’t mind. Only issue was the fire alarm blaring for about half an hour at 5 in the morning. The alarm PA system kept announcing to stay in our rooms despite the fire brigade showing up. Seems to have been a false alarm but we never got an explanation."

"I’m a frequent traveler to New York and this has become my favorite in every season. The location, staff, amenities, competitive rates and room size are unbeatable in my opinion. The pool experience during the summer months is unique and spectacular. Highly recommend. Just be sure to save a room for me!"

"I stayed here previously with no issues but will not again after my recent experience -- despite being told at the reception desk when I checked in that I was fully paid (as I had via Expedia), when I was packing up to leave I received a bill in my email for water bottles I did not use (why would I pay $14 for water when there's a Fairway down the block?). I informed the front desk at checkout and was assured it would be removed. This was a red flag, Suddenly, a week later I have five pending charges, varying in range from from $7 to $210. I tried contacting the office multiple times, no response. When I finally got a real person on the line, I was told this happened in error, I would be refunded and receive a final bill, the only thing I had to pay was a resort fee. Almost two months later, no bill has been received and only a partial, unexplained refund was issued. All of this hassle for a one night staycation. Looking at other reviews, I see this is a common occurrence with this property and I think it overshadowed all the other things I once enjoyed about staying here."
