"It was a clean property, no complaints, staff was friendly, you can refill your bottle with regular or sparkling water in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was very good. For the Metro you may need to walk a little may be 10 minutes, but bus almost at the door. For restaurants you may need to walk a little bit, area a little dark at night but safe."

"I had such an amazing experience at Mama Shelter! The rooms were clean and crisp. The breakfast was delicious! The rooftop bar is such a vibe! The staff was top tier! Extremely helpful. Loved how close it was to lots of restaurants, and to the Vatican! When in Rome, stay at Mamas!"

"The room was spacious and clean. The room service was good. The staff was not very helpful. There was no ice available and they did not offer to bring us any. We had to go to the bar to get some and they didn't seem thrilled to give it to us. The breakfast buffet was very good. They had a large selection of items. The eggs were a bit undercooked and cold. Again the staff was not very friendly if you needed to ask for something. Over the interior was very nice but a bit tired. Mainly the carpeting. It gave a dark and dreary look to the lobby and hallways.. Also the pools closed way to early for a tourist Hotel. They closed at 7pm outside and 8:30 inside. We were just getting back from a long day of sightseeing and wanted to relax in the pool or hottub but couldn't because they were about to close. Very disappointeing."

"Hotel was fantastic, it is a few minutes walk from the subway so getting around was much easier than I thought it would be. The gentleman at the front was incredibly helpful with directions. The only thing that might be a little off is that once you step out of the hotel you can easily take one step and be on the road. The bathroom was AWESOME even though they dont use the sauna anymore since."

"The hotel looked fabulous and the room was awesome. We ate dinner in the restaurant and that was terrific as well. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever had. The only issue was the shower. I couldn’t get the water temperature down but I adapted. This is an excellent hotel. You won’t be disappointed. I’d give it more that 5 stars if I could."

"Hotel Nova Domus Aurelia was our home during three very full and memorable days in Rome, and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff made navigating such a busy city much easier for us. We were traveling through Italy by car, so choosing a hotel that worked well for our driving situation was extremely important. Once we arrived, however, we were ready to leave the car behind and explore Rome by taxi and on foot. The hotel worked wonderfully for that. What especially stood out to us was the assistance we received from the staff. Whenever we needed a taxi, they helped us arrange one and made getting where we needed to go so much simpler. During our stay we attended an opera, toured the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, visited St. Peter’s, and toured the Colosseum. We had tickets, reservations, and specific times to meet throughout our visit, so having a hotel where we could simply ask for help with transportation was incredibly valuable. After long days of walking through Rome, it was also wonderful to have a comfortable place to return to, rest, regroup, and prepare for the next adventure. Rome can feel enormous and a little overwhelming when you are visiting for the first time. Having helpful people at your hotel makes a tremendous difference, and we appreciated the hospitality we received here. Thank you to the staff of Hotel Nova Domus Aurelia for helping make our time in Rome easier and more enjoyable. We came to Rome to experience some of the most extraordinary"

"Donna Camilla Savelli is one of the most special hotels in Rome. The staff are truly wonderful — warm, gracious, and always attentive. The food is outstanding, and every meal feels thoughtfully prepared. The location in the heart of Trastevere is perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and charming streets that make every walk feel like stepping back in time. The property itself is breathtaking, with that beautiful antique atmosphere I love, and the functioning church inside the hotel makes the experience even more unique and meaningful. My room was excellent, with all amenities available and beautifully maintained. I truly will be back. this hotel remains one of my favorite places in Rome."
