I am giving 1 Star just because my International flight got cancelled and I was not able to stay in hotel. But when I reached out to Hotel to consider refund (even partial refund as Hotel was booked for 3 days) they refused to consider any options. I end up loosing close $1000 for my booking.

Stayed for 4 nights, hotel was perfect. Rooms, very clean, spacious, well equipped. Restaurant - breakfast options were good. Staff all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location central, transport links close by, lots of restaurant, old town, beach, all within walking distance. Great break was had by us all (4 adults)

I’ve stayed here a couple of times now. Very comfortable and while it’s very close to the main tramway interchange (which goes to the airport and train station) it’s in a quiet spot. A few minutes easy walk from a bunch of restaurants and bars.

Based on other reviews it seems this property's WiFi has been problematic for some time and it was no different for our stay. When it worked it was slow. To the point of being almost unusable. Other than that we loved the location and the hotel was pretty good.

Our stay was great! The amenities were perfect, except for a toilet that ran and made it hard to flush more than once in 5 minutes. Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable beds.

I stayed in room 54. A comfort double. Room was very clean. I had a small balcony which had a great view. Because it was high up there was no noise problem. Breakfast was good even for a gluten free diet. Staff friendly. If you’re a tea drinker, bring some of your own. There is a kettle and small fridge. Really easy to get to from the airport. Nice safe feeling area. I was travelling solo and able to walk to many places

This was a great location. Took the tram from the airport, was simple. Then walked everywhere from then on. Tons and tons of eating and dining options. Hôtel was great, breakfast amazing. Staff friendly.

Hotel is in a good location, breakfast was really great, room was awful! We checked in around 9pm and found our room (bathroom) was designed for someone with special accessibility needs. I appreciate that this is welcome and needed for some customers but not by us. The toilet seat was appr. 10 inches (25 cm) higher than normal and the shower only had a curtain. We to the reception and asked for another room. The fellow upgraded us to another room and suggested that we would be very happy with it. We get to our room andit was bigger with an additional single bed (not needed) but the bathroom was the same but with a slightly lower seat. I am 5'5" (165cm) tall and when I sat on the toilet only my tip toes touched the ground. We ended up staying in the room and then we were further disappointed after my husband showered. There were 2 curtains and when the shower was on they blew around so there was water everywhere as there is no lip to contain the water!!! Not only was this a safety issue for slips but also moping up the floor with towels is not something you expect to be doing in a hotel on vacation. The next morning we stopped at reception again to request another room and we were told we had to wait until a manager came in at 3:30pm. We came back to the hotel and finally changed into the room we had booked on line. All the pictures in their hotel listing show showers with glass walls, be sure to request that when booking or you might be cleaning bathroom floors on your stay.

Good central location. Excellent resturants very near. Great staff. Pillows very very hard and rubbery. Staff said they knew that this is a problem, from other complaints, but offered no solution! Made sleeping a big problem.

We recently stayed at La Villa Victor Hugo for the second time, this time in room 41. Fine room, very quiet, bed comfortable although pillows a little hard for my preference. All around, a fine stay. Did prefer room 46 though on our last visit - was a little larger and with a nice view overlooking the street below.

The positives: the hotel is in an excellent location. 2 minutes walk from the tram direct to and from the airport. Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the seafront. The area feels very safe and is quiet, but is just a couple of minutes away from a lively restaurant area. The breakfast buffet is very good and is served until 10:30. The rooms are comfortably furnished and have a fridge, a safe and air conditioning. The negatives: the bed was rather uncomfortable, wi-fi barely functioned on the 5th floor and the 5G signal was also poor, and the lift is only big enough for 2 people and is quite slow, so we had to use the stairs - ok going down but not so much fun going up.

Beautiful boutique hotel convenient to central shopping district, restaurants, and glorious beachfront. Staff was excellent and helpful. Housekeeping staff in particular deserves recognition. 15 minute walk from Vieille Nice. Tram line and bus stops only a block or two away. Only thing keeping this from a 5/5 review is poor Wi-Fi. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location Very walkable. Tons of restaurants, shopping, etc. AC is controlled so the room temp was an issue. The elevator has no light inside. The shower is level with floor and only has a curtain that goes around it. The bathroom was flooded in seconds. Could be very dangerous with small children, elderly or mobility issues . The staff could be a little more friendly and courteous. Overall ok.
