"This is what a B&B originally was like, a room that's like a real bedroom, comfy and cosy, with a friendly and helpful staff and creature comforts. There's a dvd player in the room and dvds or books to borrow downstairs. I really felt very comfortable and didn't have any noise from other rooms. I do wear earplugs anyway so I didn't get disturbed by traffic noise (I was in a front bedroom). I was upstairs which is not accessible if you have mobility needs (this wasn't an issue for me personally). The host offered to help with my bag. I did get an ensuite but on my way past I spied on the shared bathroom and it was pristine so I wouldn't worry if shared ones are left (it's also a little cheaper than ensuite)"

"Everything was excellent Lovely welcoming staff. Room very comfortable especially the bed. Nice decor and everything thought of. Food was excellent with lots of choices. "Very efficient and friendly staff, and a clean, comfortable, well equipped room. The hotel was perfect for an overnight stop between long bus journeys. We ate in the restaurant which was welcoming and offered a very suitable range of dishes. We would happily use this hotel again."

"Nice, reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Exeter, just a few minutes' walk from the Quay and the Cathedral. Room was clean and comfortable. "

"It is a charming, family-run hotel with very friendly staff. The room was delightfully old-fashioned but with a modern en suite bathroom/shower. The breakfast is very English with real fried eggs, English bacon and English sausages together with all the other usual accompaniments. Unfortunately, there is no evening restaurant but there is a wide range of eateries withing walking distance. There is a small public car park immediately opposite the hotel which can be full but we had no problem finding a slot after a short wait. And, as a bonus for us, Blue Badge parking is completely free, all day, in Devon. Finally, it is a short walk from the heart of the city. Highly recommended."
