"The staff were genuinely warm and helpful which helped promote a positive environment. The decor was stunning and quirky which I can appreciate isn't for everyone but is definitely my thing. There's also free parking which is a bonus and the pool area was scenic."

"We were very impressed with the whole experience. We were warmly welcomed, shown to a lovely room which had everything we needed with complimentary sloe gin and whisky which was lovely. We booked an evening meal, the food and setting were perfect with a beautiful garden to sit in. Breakfast was really good with a lot of choice. Freshly cooked with a selection of cereals, croissants, juices, tea and coffee. Everything you needed The service was excellent along with the staff who were more than hospitable, looked like a great team. Lovely walks along the river. We would definitely recommend a stay here."

"Check-in was smooth and friendly, and we were shown the hot drink facilities on arrival. Our room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. We appreciated being close to the food hall and the duck pond."

"Good experience overall. The staff were attentive and polite. The hotel itself is highly recommended in the area. A few points to mention - the swimming pool was a bit chilly - the men's toilets at reception, the doors couldn't close properly"

"Stayed 2 nights. Double bed was comfortable. Useful having fridge. Shower could do with a bit more pressure, but was okay. Room was clean. Could hear people in other room talking, so expect some noise from other guests. No breakfast option. Only one host, who isn't always there so checkout process wasn't obvious. I'd stay again and recommend to others."

"What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work."
