"Had a lovely three night stay in this apartment for the reading festival. Easy 25 minute walk to the festival site and five mins into reading centre where we had brunch. "Clean and comfortable, but would benefit from refurbishment! If flat is on the front of the building, there’s a lot of noise and light from the street, at all hours! There are no blackout blinds, so bring an eye mask! Double glazing reduces the noise, but you’ll need ear plugs if sleeping with windows open. The hot water cylinder only heats up at night, so it’s not unusual to have no hot water in the evenings!"

Easy stroll to the cathedral
"Lovely, comfortable and clean room with a wonderful bed and blessings. We had a huge freestanding tub but used the shower stall which was a wonderful shower. Teapot and coffee cups was nice. The garden is a great spot to sit and relax and enjoy a beverage from their bar. No elevator but that’s expected in an older building. Great location for a nice stroll to the cathedral and many restaurants. Easy 10 min downhill walk from the train station so request a taxi the night before needed to return to the station (under $10) "
