I made a last minute reservation when my original reservation a a different hotel was cancelled….and only stayed here out of desperation. Honestly, this hotel is a dump. The staff was nice, but the room was “skeevy”. Brown stained carpet, 70 cm bed and doors and walls that were thin. I felt very unsafe, and quite frankly was scared of what would come out of the brown carpet. I prepaid for two nights but since it was so bad left after one night and found a new place the second night. If cost I’d your driver then have at it…it comfort is your driver this isn’t your place.

You have booked a twin room with 2 single beds, these beds have a size of 2m by 90cm. You had a room on the parking side which are usually very popular with guests because they are quiet. I would also like to reassure you that we are in a quiet area where there have never been any problems before. However, we are sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations.Best regards

TERRIBLE WELCOME AT HOTEL OF HORRORS
Arrived slightly earlier than 1400 hours check in and informed that would cost EUR 30 extra. So we asked to leave luggage at hotel until 1400 hours and informed that it would cost EUR 5. Will never stay at a Camponile hotel again. Not a smile, not a welcome - this company is going out of business since it is not customer powered!

The hallways smelled like poop for some reason. Luckily, the room was OK. Although the bed was very comfortable The decorative layer on the bottom of the bed was ripped and falling apart and while we were there, the ceiling sprung a leak and water started going all over the dining room area.

Not nice area, the main entrance doesn't show if it's a hotel or a normal building, the picture on the site shows the entrance from the parking on the second floor. Bad and strong smell at the entrance, dirty mouquet is to change.

OK for a night...
It was ok for the night but area surrounding it looked sketchy. Front desk at check in was friendly. Restaurant was closed for dinner that night but breakfast the next morning was decent.

Hotel was well located for bus and metro into the heart of Paris and also Versaille. Could have done with more help from the hotel on getting into Paris, an idiots map guide would help rather than 'you catch the bus then the metro!'. Once you understand the bus / metro / train ticketing its fine but we could have ended up with a fine for not having the right ticket, still don't understand what we should have got? Paris is expensive but a great city.

facility is a bit old but good maintanance. It is inconvenience that there is no refrigerator in the room. chose this hotel only for 1st night because we check in late and just sleep on that day. room is simple but not bad size.

the Place was not worth money as the Rooms were so small that we cant even Open our bags properly , when i asked for the Switch Converter for my Lap Top Charger they asked us to buy it from the Store they have in the Basement as the Power converter is provided by the hotel in the Past experience that we had in other hotels so the Experience was not good and the place was also not the good place to stay

First ever Paris visit.
Location was ideal for us and an easy commute into Paris City via the nearby Metro. Food in Restaurant at Hotel was very good and not too expensive. Free car parking was a plus as we were driving and stayed for 3 nights.

Clean and convenient
This hotel is very convenient if you are travelling by car as it has free parking. You can take a bus in front of the hotel to go to Porte d'Orleans metro station or enjoy a 2 Km walk (we always walked even at night... it seems to be a safe neighborhood). From Porte d'Orleans you can easily access anywhere in Paris by subway. Great price compared to the prices in Paris and very clean. Nothing to complain, I would definitely come back.

A hotel that I'll be glad not to return to...
Hotel felt shabby and basic; our one-night stay wasn't cheap either! In the evening I rang down to Reception for some 'general' advice on getting to The Louvre on the following day, after which 'Mohammed' made a point of not understanding what or where I was talking about until I named in full the 'Musée du Louvre'. It was very clear that he was being unhelpful and arrogant. During the night I was awoken by loud music and people talking and laughing outside. The 'complimentary' rooftop parking that we found very useful appears to be useful for the local youths (non residents of the hotel) that can also access and congregate there. Several cars were parked next to each other packed full of youths smoking and generally disturbing the peace of the night. The hotel should not allow non-residents to access such space as not only did they disturb my sleep but I was also fearful about the safety of our car!

Perfect place would stay again when in paris.
Excellent price for Paris, there's a bus stop directly outside, which the final stop is next to the metro which takes you to central paris. Perfect. All staff speak English and very friendly. Rooms clean (except the carpet where we first walked in) comfortable bedding and air con, wifi and parking is free.

It was great and handy to have a well equipped kitchen in the room, however was struggling to get connection for wifi. Was charged for parking on arrival but no space when return after a day out, luckily it was refunded. The only downside I found was on the confirmation of booking it stated that check in was 12pm but was told by staff that it was actually 2pm and it's a sub charge of €5 per room which was nothing, but it was the principle when a customer got a printed proof of the check in time at 12pm, should we still be charged for 'early' check in?

Double Charged, Very Dirty Room, Bad Service, Scam
I stayed at hotels across Europe, Asia and America. This hotel was one of the worst experiences I've encountered. When I arrived at this hotel I was told by the person at the front desk that my Expedia reservation had expired and I needed to pay the walk in rate. The person at the front desk was unfriendly and had a sleazy vibe about him but I was tired, so I just shrugged it off and proceeded as they requested. After going to the room I was shocked how small, dirty and unattractive the room was. It was so bad that my girlfriend was unable to sleep. Early the next morning we left and checked into a different hotel. This wasn't the end of the problem. The next day I called Expedia to confirm that the reservation had been cancelled and they said no but they would investigate the problem. The hotel told Expedia that I never paid the walk in rate so Expedia told me to contact the hotel directly to figure out the problem. When I called they hotel, I was told that I didn't have an Expedia reservation and that I should contact Expedia. I then called Expedia back and told them my room number I had stayed in. When Expedia followed up with the hotel, the hotel told Expedia that it was impossible because the room number didn't exist! I have a receipt to prove the room number and a bank statement that shows the double charge but this issue is still unresolved. This was an obvious scam. I'm guessing they usually get away with it considering the amount of money is small.

On arrival the A/C did not work, so they gave us another room on a different floor. We stayed for three days, and every day the WiFi would stop working and we had to ask them to reset it, the last day it did not work at all. only one elevator services the hotel and you can only fit two people with their luggage, good luck if you're trying to use it when others are doing the same. Hotel staff was ok with the exception of what I assume was the manager, she was very rude and condescending.

Romantic getaway for the weekend
We arrived in France for a romantic getaway. I have to compliment the hotel staff. They were all very kind, helpful and courteous. We didn't speak French, only some broken words, and all hotel staff spoke English, also broken, but an understanding was there. They helped us find the bus and metro routes to the major attractions. The hotel room was small, but we didn't came to Paris for staying in the hotel. When we came back from sightseeing, our room was clean and the bed made. I especially liked the good smell they had in the hotel floors. The breakfast was continental and coffee out of a machine, which was fine with us. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel and took us to the metro in a 5 min bus ride. When we ever come back to Paris, we will book this hotel again.

Hotel in easy reach of centre by metro
The hotel has exelent first floor Parking which is not obvious but find the pharmacy next to hotel and its there. The hotel were all extremely helpful and spoke reasonable English. The menu was good quality but was limited. I had problems with starting my car the receptionist brought her car over so I could jump start my car whist checking out other guests. I would stay there again

Nice hotel, but quite far out of Paris
Overall, this hotel was lovely as staff were friendly and the room and lobby area were clean and tidy. The location of the hotel looked a bit run down and it was quite far out of Paris. Although we knew that it was quite a distance from the centre, this may be something that you want to take into account! Facilities in the room were in good condition with all the expected amenities and our only issue was that the room felt a little empty and open, although this was probably just personal preference! The room itself was actually relatively big.
