"Location is great. Big clean apartment. Nicely apportioned with sufficient kitchen accommodations and plenty of closet hangers and closets and drawers. Lovely location with a patio overlooking the local plaza. No real water views and no pool. The parking is readily available. It is free street parking. There are many restaurants nearby. The restaurant below the apartments is exceptional. It is not affiliated with Rok Plaza. Kathy, the manager is incredibly accommodating and truly an asset to the place. Make sure you communicate exactly when you anticipate arriving. Ours was very late and unexpectedly so. We called Kathy at 10:00 pm and she was with us within 15 minutes. She lent us beach towels also This is a local working town. Not touristy … lots of walks along the lava shoreline. You will need a car to truly enjoy Tenerife. Next town over is San Juan Playa. More tourist shops but still a lovely local vibe. No sandy beaches here… but that wasn’t a concern for us. Drove to Teide NP in an hour and drove to #whiteTenerife catamaran whale tour in less than 1/2 hours. Easy walkable delicious dining and plenty of convenience for groceries, drinks and snacks "

"The restaurant staff were very good, but the food wasn’t great. The pool lifeguard with the towels was so rude nearly every day. It’s a shame you don’t get basic amenities in the room like water and better bathroom amenities. "

"We have stayed here many times before but this was the first time we were disappointed with our visit. The property itself is good with comfortable rooms and a lovely outdoor pool. However, the service fell below what we would expect at this price point and based on our previous experiences. Each day at breakfast, we were not offered coffee as before, and had to make it ourselves. At one evening meal, we had to get a high chair for our baby ourselves despite asking the staff for it 3 times. I had arranged with the staff for a cake and candle for my wife's birthday in advance and this did not happen. I brought this to guest experience the next day who promised they would make sure it happened that night. It did not. We brought up all these issues on check out and were promised a phone call from a manager that day which again did not happen. We were left very disappointed with the level of service from an expensive resort and we will not be going back. "

"Upon arrival we found that the beds had not been changed or made up, the whole place had not been cleaned and there was a basket with towels to be laundered left on the floor. This was very disappointing and annoying as we arrived at about 9.30pm simply wanting to heat our food, eat it and go to bed. So, we called VRBO and they try to contact the owner. The owner did respond and organised the cleaners to come the next day which they did. The toilet seat was broken but we managed to fix it temporarily, the hairdryer didn’t work properly and would overheat very quickly. We were there for 3 weeks, enjoyed the terrace, weather was mixed, parking is good and free, not far from shops and restaurants all walkable, motorway close at hand, plenty of large supermarkets that are a short drive away. The flat to be honest needs a bit of TLC. However, the terrace on the roof tends to compensate for that. WiFi is good and we were able to connect our Now Box to the tv and get Netflix etc and mirror with my iPhone too. This was important during the Atlantic storm and the dust cloud from the Saharan desert. The owner Patrick kindly let us stay over the normal departure time as our flight was late. All in all despite our poor start we had a pleasant peaceful time and enjoyed our holiday."

"You will be staying in a section of a large resort. Your room may well be in amongst the all-inclusive families. Not an issue for us but if you are expecting exclusive adults only, then this is not the place for you. If you are expecting 5 star luxury, then this is not it. Don't spend money on a "premium/luxury" sunbed, the system felt like a scam, the service was terrible. We enjoyed sitting in the sun, we enjoyed breakfast and our room but anything app or service related ended up being met with impending dread. We were called many times by the manager to check we were ok after we wrote a complaint but it was all very awkward. We ended up ordering food for delivery from a place in the next village on two nights, the best food we had all week! They commented to us how bland the food was in the hotel without any prompting from us so it obviously has a reputation. I would suggest staying somewhere smaller that cares about the customer experience more. "
