"What a fun way to stay! Glamping tent is very clean, roomy, and in like-new condition. Maybe a bit cold for winter, but has heating. The tent material makes vibrations on a windy night. Has supermarket within campus (good price!) but closes early at 8pm. Restaurant/bar is exceptional. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Bus route 14 to central Florence is immediately outside the gate, takes 30+ minutes, and is seldom on schedule. Otherwise, walk 10 minutes to nearby train station and take 10 minutes train to Florence station."

"Great room with a lovely view. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent, as was the service in all areas of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The features in the hotel which showed aspects of its past and the location by the river and weir were ideal. Lovely pool area with towels provided too. We had to wait a while to check in though as there was only one person on the desk and the couple in front had a problem which needed to be resolved. "

"We enjoyed our stay so much! Gianna and her family were so nice and welcoming! I don't usually stay at properties where the family also stays, but I'm so glad I did this time! My husband and I loved the views and I made dinner in the loft kitchen twice using the fresh herbs Gianna had growing. She was so generous and left us food staples to make dinner and it really came in handy the first night when we realized that we would rather drink wine outside than go out to dinner! One thing to note about this area (and most places we visited in Italy), is the restaurant hours. Many places only open for dinner and that starts around 7pm. Lunch is over at 3pm and most places close from 3pm-7pm. Everything was perfect for our stay and the area is lovely. "

"Overall the room was clean with a spacious bathroom. Staff at the reception office were very friendly. Breakfast, despite it being the same food everyday, was sufficient to get the day started. The views were amazing and the dinner was delicious. "

"5 stars isn’t good enough! This was my 2nd time staying here and I will definitely go back. The hotel is luxury mixed with cozy. The size of the hotel made us feel at home but also the luxury made us feel VIP. It was a slice of heaven. The food was amazing and location is perfect. Shuttle service to Florence is a quick 20 minute ride. The grounds made you feel like you were in the Tuscan hills. Fabulous!"

"What's not to like about staying in a medieval Italian Castle? Great views of Florence from the two rooms we stayed in. There is plenty of parking for your car and its a five minute drive to Florence. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and filling for a day out on the town. The best part about the Castle is the awesome staff. These are the nicest and friendliest people! They do speak English making communication easy. They are very accommodating making a stay at the Castle feel more intimate and friendly! "
