The Castle Inn

The Castle Inn

8/10 Good
"Fijne herberg met gastvrij en vriendelijk personeel. Wij logeerden in de familie kamer, een gezellige ruimte op de tweede verdieping. Er staat ook een bedbank voor een derde persoon, maar die is aan vervanging toe. Ze serveren ook een diner met redelijke keus, en voor het ontbijt heb je ook prima keus."

The Bear Hotel

The Bear Hotel

8/10 Good
"Overall the hotel is well-positioned and has good parking. Decor is good and staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The negatives are that the ground floor rooms in the coach house are not remotely private. The windows look out onto the path and directly at all the people in the glass cube in the courtyard. We could not open the blind without coming eye to eye with at least 10 people drinking and eating outside, just feet away. I could literally see the white of their eyes! Therefore, the room was rather dark, and noisy from their conversations. Breakfast is across the street in a cafe. This didn't suit us and would be difficult on a rainy day. Also, it was very slow and took overall 40 minutes to finally receive our breakfast!"

"arrived to be greeted by one of the bar staff who was very friendly, then the manager came to see us and signed us in, explained about time of breakfast, then helped us up stairs with our overnight bags. such a really nice gentleman, his name was Dave. the room was very clean and tidy, lovely white fluffy towels, plenty of tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was so good, and plenty of it , that was an extra charge of £9 pp, so worth it. would definitley stay again."
