Hotel Von is situated in an excellent location, right in the middle of the city center. It is close to many landmarks and attractions of Reykjavik and has lots of dining and entertainment options. The hotel staff were wonderful: very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed having our breakfast there (not included) and would definitely recommend Hotel Vonti anyone visiting the city.
A small but very modern hotel in a fantastic location, situated on the main shopping street in Reykjavik, and in an easily walkable distance to so many great sights around Reykjavik. Plenty of lovely restaurants, bars and shops nearby and a few minutes from several bus stops.
The staff were so helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Its a small hotel, comfortable, smack in the center of Reykjavick. Our room was ready when we arrived, which was a blessing, we were so tired. I will definately stay there again.
Great location!! Walkable to everything, restaurants, attractions, shopping, transportation, ice cream. Also our room was so quiet at night, it was the best night sleep in a city, I have ever gotten. I would definitely stay here again.
Property was in a perfect location and close to everything we wanted to do downtown. The atmosphere and vibe was great. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but other than that it was great.
The location was impeccable, located in the shopping street of Reykjavik. The staff was friendly and they were very nice to give us upgrade to a room with the balcony. Only thing that bothered us was the bed was making a lot of noises.
The location was convenient with lots of food and shopping options within walkable distance. The lack of parking made it tricky having to carry luggage from my car to the hotel but otherwise everything was great!
Great stay. Close to a lot of activities and launching point for most tours. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms are clean and a good place to rest your head after a long day. Be sure to visit Braud & co for delicious pastries, a short walk from the hotel.
In the heart of the city, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the city center and close to all the tourist attractions. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the BSI bus terminal and you probably don’t want to walk in the cold, but the hotel conveniently called my cab for me and it was there within 5 minutes. I traveled alone and it was more than enough space just for myself. Cozy, quaint and quiet in comparison to the other hotels in the area.
What a great location! Everything was incredibly walkable and we lucked out with great street parking a couple of blocks away (look for P3 signs). The rooms have a very cool style and convenient modern amenities. Would stay here again!
This was a great place to stay for a few nights. Not only is Bonus right next door, but several shops, the cathedral, and restaurants within walking distance. The harbor is about a 20 minute walk so it’s a great location and near bus tops 9 and 12. I didn’t have any issues with noise, the room was clean, and suited my needs. The only issue I had was the shower as it didn’t have a door to stop water from getting on the bathroom floor and the floor of the shower didn’t have any grip and was very slippery. Other than that, the bathroom is great and service was good. I had an early flight and went straight to the hotel even though check in wasn’t until 3. They were able to check me in early which helped greatly with taking a nap and shower before rest of the day activities. They also hold luggage before and after check in which was very convenient. I would recommend this place and stay here again.
Really nice people, located in the heart of it all. Were great and gave me a room that was free when I landed at 7am so I could take a quick nap before exploring. Only a 20 minute walk to the central bus station and 10 minutes to everything in downtown!
We booked and paid extra for the Glasshouse Room which was a bit misleading based on photos on Expedia - it just looked just like the basic city rooms. This was also the only hotel we stayed at out of 7 hotels in Iceland which did not include breakfast, and it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Iceland. Everything was satisfactory but it was not good value.
I have stayed at Hotel Von twice now and both times it exceeded my expectafions. Friendly and helpful staff, great food and coffee, clean and tranquel rooms that are comfortable yet modern. The large soaker tub is Amazing! Close to everything in the city, Bonus grocery right next door, Braud bakery 2 blocks away. Cant beat this spot !! I will be back!
Great location for a great price. The room was a tiny bit smaller than expected but how clean and convenient it was made up for that in no time at all.
Hotel Von is a beautiful hotel in such a central location. The architecture and design was stunning. We found parking fairly close by as well.
The main concern we had was cleanliness. There was something beige smeared on the wall in the shower which makes me believe that the bathroom was not cleaned and we also found used contact lenses on the nightside table.
Lovely hotel in a great location on the high street.
The rooms are not particularly big but it gas everything you need and it was spotless. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.
We loved this hotel. The location is perfect if you want to explore the city by foot and close to the bus stop for excursions further out. We had a view of the church and could walk to cinnamon rolls and coffee in the morning, shop, people watch and explore all day, go back to the hotel for a refresh before walking to any number of great places for dinner. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and the bathroom products were so great I bought the shampoo and conditioner. There’s a supermarket right next door too. I Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Could be a little loud at night if you keep the windows open, but I live in the city and I’m used to the sounds of people heading home after a long night, so it didn’t bother us at all.
