Fabulous location. Very clean and cozy. I did not read carefully about shared bathroom. My oops. Super instructions. Woylr happily stay here again.

Our room was in a gable end. The beds were made up with the heads of the two twin beds under the low end of the ceiling. We had to change the bedding around to avoid banging our heads on the ceiling. Even then, we occasionally hit our heads on the sloped ceiling. The room was tiny.

Perfecte ligging op loopafstand van centrum! Goede ontvangst en het verblijf schoon en netjes. Enig minpunt zijn de kussens en, wanneer het verblijf word gedeeld met meerdere ‘bewoners’, Je al gauw wakker wordt van geluid.

Our House is a really good place to stay. It is clean, warm ( central heating and some under floor heating),comfortable and central to shops, restaurants and a pick up stop for the tours and airports.It is also cheap to stay there. There is a fully functional kitchen where you can cook with a supermarket and a delightful bakery nearby. WiFi is good. Will be going again next year.

Et godt sted til pengene

Det var et rigtig godt sted. Fantastisk beliggenhed lige ved centrum af det hele. Lidt slidt, men rent og gode faciliteter i forhold til og smøre en mad til en dagstur eller lignende. Sengene var gode og så var der sauna

Never saw the owners, a cleaner arrived at 10:30am and started cleaning but didn’t say anything to us, I felt pressured to hurry up and leave with her presence. Also, the room was very cold. The booking information said there was a hot tub but we couldn’t find it. On the plus, Perfect location, affordable, and liked the coffee machine!

The location is ideal-next to the church and a nice 15 minute walk to the Harpa center, and right in the middle of the tourist area. Yet the location is quiet--I got complete nights sleep every night. The house was quiet--I sort of missed talking with people. Some will like that!

Our House guesthouse felt like our home

We never met anyone from the guesthouse. We followed the email instructions and found our name on the chalkboard inside, and our keys in the door of our room. Room was neat and clean, WC and shower clean. Location is excellent, close to most tourist attractions, restaurants, and shops.

Great area!

Great stay! I was worried about shared bathrooms but had no trouble at all. The area is PERFECT! All of Reykjavík in walking distance, a 24hr convenience store across the street, just the best spot. Loved it. Would return.

Great location in Reykjavik!

Our House was clean and comfortable. Johannes was very friendly and made great suggestions for our trip! We only stayed one night so didn’t really make use of all the facilities, but everything seemed to be in good order. Great location close to shops/restaurants downtown and Hallgrimskirkja, but not too close to be noisy at night! You can hear church bells from the house, but it didn’t bother us.

A good place for a short break

Excellent location; friendly & informative hosts; well equipped kitchen area; good value. Only downside was shared bathroom facilities, but we were aware of this when we booked.

Lovely homely guesthouse

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was a 2 minute walk from the church which is where the bus stop is for any excursions and transfers. The guesthouse is situated at the top of the town so you are surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely little place, very clean with plenty of facilities. Home away from home. We will Definately be staying here again when we return as we didn't get to see the northern lights this time round because of the snow storms.

Very good location

Big clean house with 6 rooms and 2 bathrooms. No need to wait when I need to use the bathroom. Free cappuccino machine to use. Very good location! 3 mins walk to the big church and bus stop. Very nice host!

Excellent location. Johannes was very responsive to all my questions during the booking process. The house has a few little things that are in disrepair but overall was extremely happy with our stay.

Decent

The people were very nice, the bathrooms are not en suite, which was fine, but they had been well used. It was very centrally located, close to bus stop #8. Overall a decent place to stay, and they let you store your bags there if you have a later flight.

Not your usual hotel experience

Our House was perfectly lovely and in a great location. We had a 16-hour layover in Reykjavik, so we arrived at the guest house in mid-afternoon and left in the middle of the night to get back to the airport for our next flight. It was a little weird in that we never saw anyone who worked at the place. We had a password to get in and a chalk board showing which room was ours. Still, it all worked out smoothly, so I can't complain..
