Amsterdam’s iconic square, with its cobbled stones and grand historical buildings, is a lively gathering place and venue for protests and celebrations.
This modern museum houses the world’s largest collection of the legendary Dutch master painter who led a troubled life and never saw his work become famous.
This lively square in the heart of Amsterdam’s cultural district offers dining and entertainment, with an array of theater, movie, music, comedy and street performances.
One of the oldest and largest public parks in Amsterdam is a relaxing place to rest, have lunch or watch a performance after visiting the nearby museums.
"Wonderful location next to the canal. Brief walk to the museums like Van Gogh, Moco, Rijks. Close to tram lines that will take you to the other city attractions. Around there are a gazillion lovely eateries. This mid-century modern charming facility with stain glass windows in the restaurant serving excellent food and cocktails made our Amsterdam 8 day stay relaxing. Their concierge is helpful. The staff gave us free drinks and appetizers to make up for a shortcoming in our room--we appreciated the gesture. Overall, I will definitely chose this hotel for future Amsterdam visits, "
"The Grand Hotel Amrâth is an incredible historic hotel. It is very centrally located near Central train station. My room on the 3rd floor had high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal. Absolutely gorgeous! They have many original museum pieces from when they were a shipping house in the early 1900’s. I truly enjoyed my stay. I would say my only complaint would be that they did not have a ramp to bring luggage up the front stairs. The bellman does help if he is waiting in front but if not, pretty challenging. Have some great videos of my room but unfortunately won’t upload on the site "
