"Our room was very nice. Has a nice bar and great breakfast. Dinners simple but fine. Good pricing. Staff excellent, friendly and offered extra tea and coffee after breakfast. So good we stayed an extra night. The downstairs public rooms (four) are spacious but not particularly smart. But great value and we felt at home."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Three Horseshoes in Barnard Castle. Our room was extremely well-equipped and spotlessly clean. It was a lovely touch to find a kettle with plenty of tea/coffee making facilities and biscuits waiting for us. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was another highlight—there was an excellent variety on the menu, ranging from a full cooked breakfast to cereals, fresh fruit, and juices. It’s in a great location for exploring the area, with convenient car parking available just behind Morrisons. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"
