"The staff were lovely and very helpful. The paint in the room needed cleaning or painted over in some area. The bathroom sink had cracks in it. The worst was the mattress. It was way too thin. Had to use quilt to try and give me some comfort . Didn't work. It was a disabled room."

"Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the room and the Spa. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room had high ceilings and felt so spacious. The whole experience felt decadent and luxurious. Only 2 minor gripes. Very mini toiletries in the room for 2 people to use. There were small bits of debris on the bottom, this was at 8am. So I would just look at the cleaning schedule. "

"We keep going back to Mercure. We like it's "attitude" and feel safe sleeping there. It's great for access to the town centre. Breakfast was excellent - an "eat what you want" from a huge buufet selection. Car parking was secure and just a little extra to the hotel price. The room was clean and warm. We'll be back (again!)"

"Fabulous in all repects! A beautifully recently refurbished gorgeous property with decor to wow. The food is absolutely delicious and presented with flare. All the staff I encountered were professional, very obliging, happy to help and chat (if possible) and all were working really hard with smiles on their faces. They all seemed to be proud of the hotel and their friendliness and helpfulness shone through. The grounds are beautiful, great location, peaceful and the first wedding of the year was underway. A really impressive establishment."
