We had a really smooth and easy stay at the Black Lion Hotel. Everything was very organised and clean, bed was super comfy, bathroom and shower felt very new; it all seemed nicely refurbished. The service from the staff at the pub downstairs was extremely nice, especially Ed, who was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Would definitely come back here again if we come to Manchester again. Good vegan brekky too.

The staff is nice and the drinks are cheap. Be aware you are staying at a bar with nightclub level music and singing. Also our cups were not cleqned , mor was the bathroom on the next day. The chef called n sick and we had to walk to a sister property for breakfast. It has nice rooms ne beware. .

Great location, 15 mins walk into city centre. Our room was very spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. Ed the manager was very helpful and friendly. Our room faced the back of the property so was very quiet but it may be noisier at the front of the hotel as Chapel Street is a busy road. Breakfast is cooked to order but there is also a small continental selection. Good choice of cooked food with vegan options too. Fantastic value for Manchester, would definitely return!
