We loved our stay at Hotel Abri. It is a very basic small hotel in an evidentially historic building. The staff were lovely. I would have given it 4 stars because the TVs were quite glitchy and one of the blackout curtains was nearly impossible to close. I upgraded to 5 stars though because when we let the hotel know, they reached out to a technician right away. There is a mini fridge that I had to check daily to make sure it stayed on. The Walgreens around the corner has a shocking great snack and lunch selection. I’m not sure if there is a microwave on site. There are many homeless around, but no more than you should expect in a city and it is still very safe. The hotel desk is staffed 24/7 and you need a key to enter.

It’s an older hotel with some renovations. Rooms are small but it is very clean. The people working the front desk were very kind and helpful. Check in and out was easy. Would stay there again.

I stay here every year for the pride celebration. The staff are always amazing. The location is convenient for the public transportation. It’s also in the center of all of the shopping areas.

Property was located in a convenient spot. Property had a dirty bathroom on time if check in and had to request a new room. The 2nd room was literally the size of a supply room.

This hotel is great. We loved the room and proximity to transportation and nearby attractions both in waterfront area and at Golden Gate Park. But there are two things that are challenging about staying in this area of San Francisco in general. It is hard to fault Hotel Abri, but you should know these two things. 1) it is hard to sleep without a sound machine because there is just so much street noise throughout the night between the people and traffic. 2) there are many homeless people around the hotel neighborhood. They aren’t threatening or dangerous, just present all the time.

Well kept hotel, quiet, central location. Updated nicely. The room is small which is usual for an older hotel. A little squishy with 2 duffle bags. Bathroom and towels great. The fan for ventilation seems loud and hard to access in evening with the night blinds. Still, it overall suited us

The building feels a bit dated, though it is also in a way part of the charm. Especially the fact it used a window AC unit. Overall the staff seemed nice. Wish there was maybe some food options, but I thought the bag we were given at check in was a pretty neat idea--haven't seen that before.

A charming old hotel with simple upgrades. Located at the end of the cable car run. Clean and quiet. The only downside is the parking, with the only real option being an expensive valet experience.
