"We stayed at the room 5/1, the penthouse. It was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in on my vacations through Europe. The view to Douro River and the most infamous brigade was stunning. The pictures of that room don’t do any justice. It was amazing. And they kept the room clean, organized for us every single day. It exceeded our expectation by far on every aspect of our Porto visit. The staff are so nice and polite. I would recommend the hotel and especially that room 10000% to anyone. You’ll be mesmerized by the views. Thank you so much for our wonderful time in Porto greatly in part of Porto River Hotel. We loved it."

"Beautiful boutique hotel tucked away, 2 minutes walk from the river. Front desk staff were amazing, professional and friendly - always willing to answer questions and offer advice to make our trip more special. Breakfast was fabulous and quiet. Great selection of both continental and hot foods and the fresh omelettes were so tasty!! A lovely way to start the day! Location perfect for exploring the entire city. Also close (less than 5 minutes walk) to a small supermarket for bottled water. Second floor room was quiet, large, comfortable and super clean with great amenities. We received a beautiful personalized note and small gift in acknowledgment of our 20th wedding anniversary. Thank you to the team at Descobertas, we are grateful we chose such a fabulous hotel!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Guest House Douro!! The hotel's location is perfect for visiting Porto in a short time because it is in walking distance to most of the attractions. The view from our window is unbelievable! The hotel service is excellent! Luis checked us in and helped us plan our day right away. He made marks and wrote instructions on our map and answered all our questions. The neighbor restaurants which he recommended were so good, we couldn't have found them on our own. If you want to find a perfect place to stay in Porto and get all the help you need, Guest House Douro is your best choice."
