"The location of this hotel was excellent for exploring the town and area as we were able to walk to everything we planned to visit. The staff were wonderful - always friendly and polite and helpful. An interesting old building, maintained to a reasonable standard but felt due for an update in some areas/respects. Our bed was not great and could do with replacement."

"The room we were originally allocated had faulty lighting in the bathroom – the central light didn’t work at all, and the one over the mirror flashed constantly. It must’ve been like that when it was cleaned after the previous guest, but had clearly not been attended to. When I raised this, the person working on reception quickly allocated us to a another room, which was quite satisfactory."
