"Staff was helpful & friendly. Ivris from housekeeping was helpful & polite giving us fresh towels since we opted for the green initiative (less cleaning). Diego & Carolina at reception were helpful with the HX mixup with our reservation so we did not end up homeless in Reykjavik. We love that bus stop #12 is just outside the hotel. Would be nice to have a hot tub to relax in after long days of excursions. Would also appreciate a little bigger tv in the room. A beautiful Iceland scenery picture or Icelandic art work can brighten up the room. Our standard room has many blank walls. Maybe time to refresh the beds. Airport shuttle may also be a nice service for guests."

"I booked this apartment a year in advanced for the total solar eclipse. The price was insanely high but not surprising since the apartment’s location is inside the path of totality. What I liked about the apartment after staying there: 1. Convenience with a grocery store, coffee shop, and gas station just across the road, a very good Indian restaurant, a Subway sandwich shop, an ATM, and convenient store in the same parking lot. The bus station is just a couple of blocks away. 2. Excellent water pressure and hot water. 3. Secure building since you cannot get in without an access code. Check-in and check-out process is non-contact. You get the access information via e-mail and checkout via text. What I didn’t like: 1. The kitchen is small but you’ll get used to it. First, it felt like you are washing dishes in a camper van. But, you’ll develop a system that you’ll get used to it. The freezer has so much frost that you could not close the inner door. 2. The security key pad to enter the building was glitchy. First night the system died and we had a hard time getting in. 3. The morning of our checkout, the fire alarm went off. Icelandic fire alarm system is very sensitive, so be very careful not to set it off when cooking anything."

"Bjarni was a superb host; he responded to all my emails inquiries within 20 min. Then, 24h before our check in day, Bjarni emailed instructions with turn-by-turn highly detailed driving instructions to find the apartment building, keys, and elevator. There is no longer construction in area, and there’s plenty of outdoor parking. Large Mall with shops and FoodHall is half block away. Apartment was well stocked, clean, with comfortable bedding and very quiet. Bedroom #1 King size with ample walk-around space. Bedroom #2 Queen size with walk around only 2 sides. Good location for trips to Reykjavik downtown, Perlan museum, etc."
