"Second day of our stay, the room was not cleaned and we did not receive fresh towels. Front desk was not available by phone. Had to go downstairs to ask for towels. Also, the breakfast sign was on display, however it was closed. We received a text in the evening stating the restaurant was closed due to an employee called in sick."

"Very nice room. Extra large, kitchen area with full size fridge and loved having the big window at the back with a Mountain View. Owners have done an excellent job refurbishing this mid-century classic property. I’ve seen a mix of reviews re the breakfast. It is a full breakfast and for the price point of the room, I thought very generous with choices: Egg/sausage patties; biscuits/gravy; waffles/pancakes as well as the other usual items. Whst was extra was some fresh fruit choices and raw honey. Plenty of seating both indoor/outdoor to eat or just lounge. Overall, excellent."

"Not a fan of the decor. It was essentially an old motel that was refurbished and hyped as modernized through a retro/50s decor. IMHO it doesn’t work. BUT, the mattress was excellent and the staff was superb. On the other hand, the breakfast consisted of items to be microwaved, Overall, I would give it a C to C- and I wouldn’t go back again."

"Spend a few extra dollars and stay at a nicer place. The posted pictures are deceiving. They have 2 different areas, one newer and one older. We got the older and the pictures didn’t really match up. The “breakfast” wasn’t nothing to write home about. No coffee maker in the room. No clock. Tiny shower. But I will admit that I slept well."

"This is a really sweet little place to stay. The manager John is outstanding. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable in a Native American style. There were hand carved wooden animal statues dotted around the gardens, lush with flowers even in May. Right on the Uncompaghre River, trees all around and stunning views of the mountains when you walked out your door. It was quiet, just down the hill from the Main Street of Ouray. Box Canyon is an easy drive from there. The continental breakfast was very simple but all you really needed. Eggs and yogurt were added for the asking. I’d stay there again."
