Beautiful beach front view, water just steps away! That is why I book here!!!! Room 513 had all we needed…clean, very comfortable beds and pillows!! Fridge, microwave and coffee pot all great, we didn’t use the stove. Beach towels, small cooler, umbrella & chairs for use! The only problem we had is that the shower curtain rod kept falling down. We got it to stay after a few times. Made for some laughs! I would definitely stay in this unit again.

Valentine's weekend get-a-way

It was my husband’s first time to Florida seeing a palm tree and the ocean. Our ocean front room was so beautiful to wake up looking out to see a beautiful beach and the Gulf breeze was spectacular

The location is great. The view is amazing. Owners are very responsive. It was clean but the unit is in need of some TLC. Kitchen & bathroom needs work but are functional. New mattresses needed. Has a ton of potential to be a really cute place with that amazing view!

I absolutely loved my stay here! It was clean and exactly what I needed. The location is perfect - it's quiet, but still around enough places where I never needed to Uber, I was able to walk to everything I wanted to go to. Lastly - that view!!! It never got old. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to everyone interested.

No worries with this property it’s clean, bug free, bright and comfortable. View is awesome. Gets direct sun on the balcony around 2pm or so. Two beach chairs and beach towels supplied. Plenty of t paper and bath towels and other supplies. The beds were clean and comfortable as was the other furniture. There is a Publix and Walgreens within walking distance as well as restaurants. Its a short drive to Johns Pass. I vacation in Florida every year if not more and I would have no hesitation reserving this condo again.

Needs updated & repairs

This room doesn't measure up to some of the nicer rooms we have stayed in over the years. It has some "lack of maintence" & housekeeping issues. The bathroom sink had a crack in it & the bathtub had mold/mildew in the corner & rust by the drain. Floors were pretty but needed mopped not just swept. (The bottoms of our bare feet were black) Beds were very comfortable, air worked great, private balcony is a plus, beach is clean, pool area is small but nice, Tiki bar was convenient. Location is great with walking distance to some good restaurants. This is a Basic room that just lacks the "resort" decor.

Great location, terrible odor overcome with air freshener

The location of the Island Inn was central to everything we wanted to do and the beachfront location can't be beat. The beach was just steps away (along with a modest-sized pool) with easy access to a poolside tiki bar and rentals of chairs, umbrellas and paddleboards. Some units have chairs or umbrellas that come with them or were left behind in the unit by previous visitors. On our visit (11/3-11/7) there were free chairs and an umbrella in the unit we rented but we did not use them. Each unit at the Island Inn is independently owned so the management for each is variable. The lobby and elevators have quite the musty/unpleasant odor, but the stench in the unit we rented beat them both with a very sharp and strong odor of mold/mildew. There was a dried up air freshener on the dresser that didn't seem to be doing anything to combat the odor. Opening the kitchenette cupboards released an even stronger odor of mold/mildew. Thankfully, it took less than an hour for our noses to acclimate, though when we returned from our first beach walk, the odor was once again strong enough to knock you over. After we cooked our first meal in the unit, that started competing with the unit odors and seemed to make it less strong, so we purchased a can of air freshener, and surprisingly, that was a enough to make the rest of our stay very pleasant. We had feared it would just be "clean linen" PLUS mold odor, but the freshener we selected worked very well. And we learned to hold our breath when putting dishes in the clean, but stinky cabinets. The unit was clean and the kitchenette reasonably equipped for the size, though we felt it could use an extra large (deeper) skillet that could hold a skillet meal for 4 without spilling over the sides (since there is no oven for those who are looking to save while still enjoying beautiful beachfront accommodations). The provided equipment was in decent shape and met our needs. The unit service was excellent. When we requested to have the deadbolt oiled and to have an ironing board brought by, both requests were filled within minutes! We enjoyed the free access to Amazon Prime video on the unit's TV while we were cooking our meals. Despite the severe odor problems on our first day, we agreed that the location was well worth the hassle of having to run out for a can of air freshener and we would rent this unit again. The helpfulness of this review is limited by VRBO policies that prohibit revealing the unit number.
