"I really wanted to enjoy my stay in Tahoe, but Evo Hotel made that impossible. The room and bathroom were dirty — and not just a little dusty. Visibly unclean in a way that made me uncomfortable touching surfaces. The bare minimum expectation when staying at a hotel is that the room has been properly cleaned before arrival. That was not the case here. On top of that, the AC was not working. Being stuck in a warm, uncomfortable room when you’re paying Tahoe prices is completely unacceptable. It directly impacted our ability to sleep and relax, which is the whole point of a hotel stay. The noise from upstairs was constant and disruptive no matter what time it was, making it even harder to get any rest. I called the front desk multiple times to get help and not once did anyone pick up. Not once. There is no excuse for that. If you’re running a hotel, someone should always be available to assist guests dealing with legitimate complaints. For a property in one of the most beautiful destinations in California, I don’t think I will be returning."

"Super charming property. The rooms are rustic meaning they are not spic and span new. Quite. comfortable and homey. Property is neat and well kept. Some details could use attention but it is not worth mentioning because it's so fun to stay here. They have a gated beach across the quite street that has beach and piers and picnicking as well as rentals of watersports gear. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning. No dining on site but restaurants within walking and driving. Great for a couple or small groups. Staff is superb."

"By far the best rental home I've ever stayed in. I felt almost like anything I would normally "need" was there. And super clean! The home was in a very quiet neighborhood with some other homes around but the trees provided great privacy. Super easy to get to house. We stayed 3 nights and found some great hikes in the area. It was awesome coming back to this little piece of paradise each evening. The main road was down the hill from the house and the sound of cars going by was usually always there from the front porch. Not a deal-breaker for us. Stars at night were amazing! "
