"We had a fantastic stay at the Barcelo hotel in Tenerife and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who brought so much energy and fun to each day, and the bar staff, who were always friendly, attentive, and quick with a smile. There was always something going on for those who wanted to get involved, from activities during the day to lively evening entertainment, but it never felt overwhelming if you preferred to relax instead. The balance was just right. The buffet food had a great variety of dishes to choose from each day. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and catered to a range of tastes, so there was always something to look forward to at mealtimes. We were there out of season so can’t comment on the kids club etc as there weren’t many children. Rooms were a great size and clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Overall, it was a great holiday experience with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, great food, and a team of staff who clearly care about making your stay special. Definitely recommended. "

"I did not get info on how to get in and out of the hotel. The concierge is not always there! I had to ring my own taxi on leaving and it was difficult to re-access the building to pick up my baggage as I don't speak Spanish. The room was very tired in decor with multiple scrapes around the doors. It vibrated with the sound of the fridge (?). The only plus was the 6 minute walk to the beach. No breakfast. No snacks. Very basic."

"Do NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT it is nothing like the photos it is Dirty run down and Smelly. We arrived and left an hour later after after reporting it to VRBO immediately and sending them Photos. VRBO Refunded me in full. It is DISGUSTING.The owner is not a nice man after speaking to him he said he would put a curse on me. This really does need taking off the letting market. There is one other review saying the same as me wish I had seen that first "
