Friars Wynd Hotel

"The location was great! We could easily walk to the castle and other attractions within the city. We did have a hard time finding the low cost parking advertised. However, there is a parking lot directly behind the hotel that is free after 5:30 or 6 pm until 8:30 am. Download the RingGo app if you don’t already have it. The hotel itself is on a pedestrian-only street. We knew breakfast was not included. However, most places in town did not open until 9 or 10 am. which made it difficult as we are early risers. Coffee and tea is provided in the rooms. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the grounds around could have been better kept. We barely saw the staff and the bar/cafe/restaurant downstairs was never open."

"For a one-night stay this was perfect. Close to the town centre (an easy walk) and restaurants/amenities if needed. Room was spacious and well furnished. Hot shower and comfy bed! Staff were helpful at checkin and when a room lamp didn't work."

"We had a lovely spacious suite room which we were upgraded to and charged extra for without prior knowledge.Even though it was lovely you would have thought there would have been an explanation.The staff were very friendly and helpful.I would recommend the cooked breakfast."

"Perfect location for a nice walk to the castle! Shanna was super kind and very responsive, messaging me back very quickly when I had a question. Room had gorgeous new interior design and breakfast was perfect. "Leo" the lion guarded me outside my window."

"Great place and close to just about everything Stirling. Walk to central Stirling, castle, and train and bus station. Tesco is also a close walk. If you get a completely rained out day - there is a great Hollywood Bowl location close by. And a good kitchen you can actually cook in. And, the local manage was super helpful (thanks Carole)! Will be back."

"The apartment was clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient, only 150m away and very reasonably priced. The location was excellent with good restaurants nearby. It had a combination washer/dryer, which is one reason we chose it but there were no instructions as to how to use it. Written instructions would help. My only complaint was since there is no air conditioning, they should supply fans for the bedrooms."
