The Stirling Highland Hotel

The Stirling Highland Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Other than the difficulty of parking , everything was excellent . Also a little known secret is that Sterling is only about 35 minutes from the Edinburgh Airport , making it a very enjoyable way to spend your last day in Scotland ."

"I was surprised there was no reception or anyone to greet us. The entry looked like an abandoned bar. We tried to call a phone number from a sign on the window, but nobody answered. Because we arrived after 3pm, we wanted to go sightseeing before everything closed, so we took the risk of leaving our luggage unattended. Luckily, when we came back, we were able to call and talk to someone to check us in. The rooms were lovely & clean. Check out was contactless, so again, nobody to confirm our stay was at its end."

"The space was clean and so comfortable. It has a beautiful view of the city, and is a 10-15 minute walk uphill from the train station. We enjoyed the short walk to the neighborhood bar, Settle Inn, for trivia night. The beds were very comfortable! Daniel was a great host! Would absolutely stay again."

William Wallace View - 5 Bedroom House Near Castle

William Wallace View - 5 Bedroom House Near Castle

10/10 Excellent
"This was a great modern property located within a 15 minute walk to the train. We had a group of 5 adults and had plenty of room. The bed set up works great for a variety of groups. We used it as a home base for our site seeing around the area. There is a grocery store very near by. The property manager answered our questions promptly. We did have difficulty finding it at first but it looks just like the pictures and located on the same side of the street as McDonalds."
