"My dad and I had travelled down for a family funeral, so very much appreciated how lovely Sandpiper and the owners were.The entire experience of staying at Sandpiper was excellent. Seemless check in. Clean bedrooms. Breakfast was delicious and well organsied. The owners were so friendly. It was like staying at a friends house. I would 100% recommend staying there and I would definitely stay again. I particularly liked the honesty bar. There was plenty to chose from, whenever you fancied...

" Overall this nice little BnB is very good. The hostess is very friendly and helpful with local sights etc. Unfortunately our stay was spoilt by a very uncomfortable mattress.There was a slant to the room which caused feet higher than head. Had to move around bedding and place cushions under mattress, but still could not sleep. The curtains were too thin, so at 530am the room was very bright. We booked for 3 nights, but left after 2 due to lack of sleep."

Abbey Sands Hotel

"The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 1 night, but got to try out the free pool for a quick swim before breakast. Breakfast was all you can eat buffet which at £10 i thought was good value. Parking is a bit of a problem, but the building is Victorian era so to be expected. The room we had was in need of a bit of TLC with the decor, but the bed was soft and clean and the ensuite was modern. We will definitely consider staying here again when we're next in Devon."
