"Comments below: pretty accurate. The hotel must be split into two, as many there seemed disadvantaged, but were respectful/welcoming. Our room was in the other wing. The rubbish outside does not appear to cause any concern to the proprietors. Inside the theme continues. Nevertheless, the gentleman who served us was very helpful. Carpet inside the room was minging, but the bed linen was spotless and the sink, shower and toilet were clean, although the whole of the loo seat came right off when lifted so we left it to one side. The half of the broken towel rail hanging on the wall couldn't be used, and the remainder stuck out of the wall at an angle and was used to pop the toilet roll on, but it kept falling off. There was soap in the dispenser by the sink, but it soon ran out. We made sure not to make contact with the carpet in our bare feet or socks. Only one cup provided for two of us, but we bought hot drinks while out. The walls had been painted nicely though. It looks like there is blood around the carpet and some towels, but I think it's actually cleaning fluid that has stained some things. The towels were properly clean and plentiful. We slept brilliantly as it was so quiet and the bed was surprisingly comfy. Next morning, hubby went to shower, which only just worked, and no soap. That's when we realised the sink soap dispenser had run out too! Verdict: at only £45 it did us for the night. A good sleep. Take your own soap/slippers. Expect the worse then it's not so bad."
