"The staff was amazing and attentive. But there was a lot of hidden costs as well as the property on Expedia being mid marketed. The spa is not included in price you pay. You have to pay additional as you have to with everything else. Even washers and dryer are paid for. "

"Room and bedroom were lovely, french doors with garden outdoor view , you would not expect that from the front door of your room and the front area , bit shabby and dated, saying that bathroom very dated was clean but could do with modernization. Pool was my biggest let down, small very busy and again generally little shabby , temp was good , but I didn't stay in for long , on our visit jacuzzi was full of young lads , all friends couldn't get near it . Quite a walk to breakfast from our room/ chalet, so took car ( disabled) breakfast very basic , can't say much more, not memorable. The area is beautiful, river and scenery, cute shops , obviously expensive, train area good place to visit , enough places to eat and get coffee , we come back regularly so great place. Carpark is broken up deffo needs attention. ."

"Overall a pleasant stay. The resort itself is clean and grounds are well maintained. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment, although really spacious very tired and in need of updating. 2 ring induction hob /fridge no freezer but adequate for our needs. Pub on site friendly and welcoming but no restaurant facility. Pool gets busy very quickly and sauna was out of action, a chill weekend and good base for exploring the area, probably wont return"

"Check in and out was easy. Room was clean . Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. Only down side was with it beinging an older building soundproofing wasn't the best. "

"Limited parking at hotel, you’d have to get there early for a space. Checking was easy, not accessible hotel not lifts and a lot of stairs. Location good on high street with lots of shops about. Cleanliness of room was good, paid for deluxe room the advertised ‘king bed’ was two singles pushed together and was very hard, really bad sleep. Told as we arrived that they had no hot water, they told us we could go elsewhere if we wanted but it was a bank holiday weekend and no availability elsewhere no attempt of refund etc. the food at the hotel was poor also. Hotel is rather dated with fixtures, door locked and struggled to reopen the windows were letting in cold air when closed and an awful banging noise because of the wind hitting them "

"Our stay was amazing! Only 15 minute drive to Pen y Pass. The breakfast was great and the staff was really accommodating! Would definitely come here again!"

"What a gem of a property. Set in a stunning location. Traditional cottage, spotlessly clean with modern touches to add to your comfort. We did cook the majority of the time but visited George III pub one evening which we would definitely recommend.There are lots of birds around, which provided lots of opportunity for my husband to indulge in his photography. We enjoyed a lovely day at the Vale of Rheidol Railway at Aberystwyth and also 2 or 3 of the lovely walks in the area.Andrea is an excellent host, providing so much information and has thought of everything to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible at Riverside Cottage. We will definitely be returning."
