"It’s a trap. Nice resort, but some of the staff were very rude. I’d much rather have to pay for my food and drink in exchange for a pleasant server. The steak house was the worst steak I’ve had in Mexico, tasted like soot/gas, couldn’t even eat it. The Grotto is the only place with ok food and great service. Great for people who don’t want a Mexican experience. Zero authenticity. They try to sell you everything under the sun- friends fell for their ‘free breakfast’ at their sister resort- it was a 4 hour nightmare, pushing there Hyatt membership on them? They asked to leave 6 times, after saying no to 6 different sales staff, they begged to go back to the resort amd were finally brought back. "

"Always easy to point out the negatives, but they are limited. Often out of pool towels, the ultra all inclusive has some odd exclusions. Just charge a bit more and include everything. Could use pool or beach attendants to avoid people reserving chairs. Cheapens the experience. Invest in big ice cubes for evening cocktails That said, the staff are great. Resort is beautiful. Great location. Food and drink are great. A mix of fun and high end cocktails. Cater very well to allergies. Peaceful, elegant, clean and quiet. Definitely go to this resort as one of the best (if not the best) in Tulum or Mayan Riviera."

"This hotel really exceeded my expectations, amazing yard, beautiful rooftop, very nice staff and amazing omelette 🌸 highly recommended , specially the rooms with jacuzzi on the balcony with the garden view "

"Beautiful decor in the lobby area- however: Our room was smaller than a dorm room with a shotty Murphy bed as hard as a rock. The pool was ice cold with a view of unfinished abandon building. Breakfast and service was good. Hotel charges a “destination fee” which adds significantly to your room stay cost and it’s just pure profit and false advertising that it’s not disclosed when you book but just added on when you check in. Not a value and would never stay again. Location is ok."

"Really no complaints. I had room G07 on floor level. It was nice. Breakfast is expensive, i just walked to chedraui. But overall for $60 on a saturday night i was not mad at all"

"This resort is very average and not as good as the dreams in Punta Cana. - it’s old and dated - the restaurants aren’t very good and they’re often closed - rooms need an update - the biggest complaint is that there’s two pools and one of them is used all day as a party. Constant music, people drinking in the pool all day (and never getting out to go to the washroom), - there are limited lounge chairs and they’re always “reserved by 7:00 am. - lastly and not someting the resort can manage but there’s a huge sargasm problem rendering tue beach and ocean a smelly mess. "
