"I would uld choose to stay here again. The overall level of customer service was very poor. Staff appeared disengaged and uninterested, and even simple queries or requests were met with minimal effort or support. There was no sense of care or willingness to assist throughout my stay. The room itself was extremely basic and felt more like student accommodation than a hotel. The bed was small there were no conveniently accessible plug sockets for charging devices, and the walls were exceptionally thin. Noise was a significant issue. I was kept awake until after midnight by people outside smoking and talking below my room. When I eventually managed to sleep, I was woken at around 02:00 by extremely loud snoring from a neighbouring room, which sounded as though it was coming from inside my own room, this really scared me. At 03:00 I contacted reception to ask if earplugs were available, but the response was dismissive and unhelpful, with no attempt to offer any form of solution. As a result, I was unable to sleep and became very distressed. I left my room in tears during the early hours and passed through reception without any acknowledgement or offer of support from staff. Ultimately, I took a pillow and rested in my car at around 04:45. Upon becoming cold I returned to my room and managed to get back to sleep to be woken by a fire alarm. Sadly the lack of care from staff and the poor construction of the rooms and lack of sound proofing lead to the worst experience. "

"Great room, clean (albeit smelled a bit musty, probably from an old hoover!) but bedding, bathroom - all other facilities were spotless. Bed was comfy, especially if you like a softer bed. TV was even on a movable bracket - always useful. Would certainly stay again given its location to the city too."

"Stayed at the Trivelles Regency in Nottingham and honestly the check-in experience was really disappointing. Both myself and several other guests were told we had to pay a £50 security deposit, despite the confirmation email clearly stating it would only be a £1 deposit if paying by card, and £200 only if paying by cash. When we showed the staff member the email, they refused to accept what was written and still insisted on the £50 payment. For some people checking in, that money was part of their budget for their night out, so it caused unnecessary stress and frustration straight away. If the hotel policy has changed, the booking information should be updated to reflect that. It’s unfair to tell guests one thing beforehand and then demand something different on arrival."

"The staff were absolutely excellent in every way and were the best thing about the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and so friendly. The breakfast was good in terms of choice and availability. The fruit could have been fresher. The bar area was great and offered great services and refreshments. Just a couple of small things re the room which explains why I didn’t give 5 stars. The pillows were very hard - we were a big party and had several rooms and everyone had that same feedback. Also my half of the bed was on a slope. The shower head was immovable so you have to wear a shower cap. However it was clean and the towels were changed daily. The parking wasn’t particularly easy. It’s great if you’re staying the weekend as there’s a fantastic rate at Nottingham station for that, but outside of that, navigating parking can be tricky."
