"Room was clean and spacious for 4 people to stay 1 night. Staff were friendly, has all of your basic amenities in the room. Easy to find and quiet."

"Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!"

"Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature. "

"It’s a basic. No lift, bar and boxed breakfast. But option of hot bacon sarni in Greggs. Choose countryside view room at the back ideally but building is set back a bit from busy A64. Right on the cycle route to York and good parking space."

"Booked Brook Hall for a stag weekend of 12 guys, which Edward was happy to accommodate. It was a fantastic base while we spent most of our time out and about in York (20 - 30 minutes away) and Leeds (30 - 40 minutes away). Thanks for the recommendation of Dougies taxis as well, this was really helpful and they were great with really friendly drivers. Lovely location and house, particularly the garden. Perhaps even better if there were more showers (only 2) but this did not detract from the overall experience. Happy group and happy stag!"
