"A lovely place to spend Christmas, fully equipped to be able to cook a traditional dinner. The cottage is very warm, we had no need to use the wood burner, which I was disappointed about The cottage is ideally placed within reach of amenities. We visited the Abbey, church and the centre of Whitby on Xmas Eve & travelled into Sandsend on Boxing Day for a bracing walk on the beach. "

"Upgrade to room 10 was excellent but restaurant staff were grumpy and not lgbt friendly. The person who checked me in who has an office in the stairwell was the opposite and as a regular customer and guest was approachable, lgbt friendly and use tge correct pronouns to address myself. Room was massive, comfortable and in the 17 th century part of the former Manor House with a courtyard view "

"Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was very clean..bathroom too. Enough drawers and storage space. The food was amazing. Breakfast was lovely..good quality and great portions. Restaurant/ bar food brilliant. Food good quality..cooked and presented really well. Staff very accommodating and friendly."

Whitby is absolutely lovely. The host Amarjit was extremely responsive and helpful with all my questions. I highly recommend this property "
