What a fantastic find this place was,
Such friendly Staff, lots of character to this old building, I had already read the reviews for the breakfast and we were not disappointed.
The best homemade black pudding ever tasted,
It’s such a great treat to find places like this still exist.

An overnight stay
Nice team of staff who were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.
The room however was disappointing and was reached by a very, very steep staircase.
There's a question from Hotels.com asking if this hotel has a car charging point ....ha ha ha ....its 500 years old :)
great character property - with an in house brewery and great food
This is a traditional inn with traditional food in the best possible sense. The chef was excellent about food allergies and asked if we needed anything as they were going shopping. The village itself is very quiet and may not suit everyone but in a good position for the Malverns.
great find and fantastic staff
This place dates back to the 1500s - so its never going to be straight lines and square walls !!
Great breakfast - brewery on site and next to the river.
What else would yo need !!
Great for walking etc
Will definitely be back - but i expect this place gets
rammed in the summer
Look out for the beer festivals - you can stay there too so its a great place to visit
The food was well presented and above average, served hot and tasty. The beds were comfortable and clean. However, overall room cleanliness poor. Carpets in need of replacement.
Staff friendly. Good parking.
I arrived late to the property, check in and evening staff were brilliant, even checking that I was still arriving as I was pushing it for time, Very very creaky room, So much so I felt bad for moving about in the night as to not disturb neighbouring rooms, shower hideous and very poorly installed. Got asked if I would like a early breakfast, which I did not - However was informed that there would be someone catering for this from 08:00 - Perfect.... Or so I thought.... I waited 25 minutes for someone to appear and even approached the kitchen on two occasions, with no response.... I left with no breakfast or even a coffee.... Not ideal at £120 a night.
Lovely old Coaching Inn with large, attractive gardens.
Restaurant food was excellent, using local ingredients. Delicious breakfast too!
All the staff were friendly & attentive.
Lots of carparking.
the staff were friendly and informative. It was a comfortable place to stay, excellent room, dogs allowed in the bar and in room, no fuss. Long standing family firm, happy to do early breakfast. No wonder that the bar was filled with local people on a weekday enjoying themselves. Also a very interesting building.
Very old inn with modern extensions. We found it querky. All clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The quality of food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent.
All round good experience.

Liked: Amenities
Liked the clean room, friendly staff, comfy bed and the large spacious shower. Disliked the very steep staircase and creaky floor boards on every step in the bedroom.
Amazing food and good service. Bed soft but comfortable. However the room was very cold and we had to wear jumpers and clothes to bed. Dinner was great but depending on where you sat (near fire) temperature difference was extreme.

The staff were attentive and obliging . Beer good nice atmosphere.
However after my evening meal of pork I was up all night with food poisoning. My wife ate the chicken pie , the pastry was soggy, the gravey had a skin on it . However the accompanying vegetables were excellent .
With not having any sleep we checked out early 7.30 approx . Could not look at a breakfast . Just needed to get home .
Went to pay my food bill ,no apologies about my upset stomach, no way would breakfast be taken off my bill . So sad that no consideration was made when paying my bill.
