"A lovely overnight stay at the Grange Country House. We received a lovely welcome from Michael, he was very informative and helped us to get settled in quickly. He gave us a tour and explanation of where everything was and about breakfast. The room was perfect, very clean and excellent condition. The breakfast was delicious the next morning and everyone that worked there was smiling and helpful. We will be staying again. "

"Lovely welcome at check in. This is more of a guest house style than a modern ‘hotel’ and has decor/styling that reflects this, but all areas were very clean and tidy. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and had good storage and tea/coffee facilities. Clean linen and nice towels. Lovely hot shower. Super view from the window over a couple of streets and beyond to the hills/mountains. All the staff we saw were friendly, attentive and hard working (but not rushing around and making things stressy). Breakfast was very well cooked, tasty, fresh and good quality ingredients. A few minutes walk to the centre of town and the park. We would definitely book here again for a future visit to Keswick. "

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Ambleside Salutation Hotel in the Lake District, and I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough. "Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"
