My husband and I take trips to the Caribbean once a year. We typically don't consider going to the same place twice. However, our stay at the Blue Diamond has made us rethink that decision. The customer service, facility, and food were amazing. The food always tasted so fresh and the Mexican dishes were particularly fantastic. Our experience is definitely a memory we won't soon forget. This was hands down one of our best travel experiences.

My wife and I stayed at El Dorado Royale for 7 days in July and had a fantastic vacation. The resort was only about 30% full, so there were no food lines and restaurant reservations were easy to get. The overall vibe was relaxed, with mostly couples in their 30s to 50s. Our More Inclusive™ package included seamless airport transfers, Maroma Beach access, and extra activities. We highly recommend a swim-up room—it was one of the highlights of our trip. The pools were beautiful, with swim-up bars, live music, games, and even a foam party. The only downside was that pool chairs filled up early with towels, but Maroma Beach always had plenty of loungers. The food was outstanding, and 24-hour room service was perfect before early excursions. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The beach at the resort was unusable due to seaweed, but Maroma Beach more than made up for it with excellent snorkeling, sea turtles, stingrays, and plenty of lounge chairs. Our favorite excursion was Río Secreto, followed by Cobá. We also treated ourselves to a beachfront couples massage at the spa. It was expensive, but listening to the ocean while getting a massage made it worth every penny. Our only real complaint was that the bed wasn't very comfortable, although the massage certainly helped afterward! Skip the Vacation Club presentation unless you're interested. This is an excellent adults-only resort for couples looking to relax, enjoy amazing food, and unwind. We'd definitely return.

The staff was beyond friendly! The food was delicious! The beach was amazing. Overall 20/10 and will come again!

Great hotel and staff. Food was generally good at the hotel restaurants but the buffet in the evening was a major let down. Due to the hot weather the beach was full of seaweed and that caused an unpleasant smell. I had 3 rooms booked and all had inconsistent amenities provided where one came with dressing robes the others didn’t; one didn’t have a properly functioning fridge; one didn’t have complementary creams. The housekeeping was very inconsistent - they would come to clean some days and not others and at differing times each day starting at 9am up to 8pm in some cases. My son celebrated his 8th birthday and we hired the vip area which was good. Stores on site are extremely overpriced. Use uber to get to local shops for anything you need. Overall we had a pleasant stay but perhaps would consider a different hotel next time.
